In canada, you're imputable if you let your gun and ammo unlock and something bad happen. Same thing in the military but the punishement is quite more severe. Even if an accidental discharge happen with blank ammunition, you will get charged (with a fine). Of course, malfunction of the weapon is excluded, but that almost never happen. |

 Coolness: 685565 | They need to put some harsher restrictions on it. Like teaching your kids to shoot, for example. If you want to fire a gun, you get a license. Period. You don't let a 10 year old take the car on the highway, and you shouldn't be showing them how to use a firearm until they're old enough to be properly trained in how to use one, at which point they should have courses to pass, just like everyone else that wants a license. |

 Coolness: 93470 | I actually buy his argument. It doesn't make a lot of sense to not own a gun if everyone already has one. If I lived in the US, I'd want a gun too. That, and in theory, even ifs a low probability liklihood, having the means to protect yourself against tyranical governments is something the people should be prepared for.
And if the government gets more sophisticated weaponry, so too should the people. |
