Please Help Me Out With My Research.

It's just that I'm sick of people doing research papers (or trying to at least) on rave culture...It's just not that interesting to warrant research papers, especially at the graduate level... Rave culture is pretty boring and straight forward, here it is in a nutshell... 'a bunch of kids (and people who still think they are kids) who like to do drugs and listen to loud music get together periodically for after hour events. Some of these people dress funny though some not. Occasionally some of them have sex with each other and sometimes there is inter personal strife between them.' that's about it, as i have said before there is nothing especially deep about any of this. People who think that by being part of rave culture they are changing the world or expressing something really intrinsically original are deluding themselves... it's pretty much the same all around the world whether it's in Hong Kong, Sao Paulo, Johannesburg, New York City or Paris, certain details may change slightly (the tunes they listen to, the drugs they do, the clothes they wear) from place to place or from year to year...but essentially it remains the same. What the fuck do i know though? Do your paper on it, I hope you get a good mark...hell i'll even do your interview if you like. I just think we need to grow up a little that's all, being an idealistic e-tard when you are under 25 is cool but after that it's just pathetic. I have soooooo much more respect for people who are part of rave culture who are frankly more open about the fact that it's just pure hedonism rather than some world changing thing. |

You can hear a protagonist talk about drugs. |
