Unable To Upload Mix

Coolness: 159065	I go in my profile, settings, My Music and try to upload a mix. I've tried at least 7 times using Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome, nothing works. In all cases, the mix uploads fully but it's not there when I refresh the page. I've used both uploaders and no go for either. Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with music uploading ?

Coolness: 159065	Ok so I tried again and got this error message : We only accept standard MP3 files. The one you uploaded is non standard. It IS an MP3 file but could it be that it won't upload because there's album art embedded in it ?

Coolness: 2603930	I think there are a bunch of topics for this problem... You need to use another program to create the tags with the mp3 information in it... Some older programs don't do it properly.

Coolness: 685535	If you're not using it yet, use Audacity with the lamenc plugin, I just uploaded a mix a few days ago no problem.

Coolness: 159065	I use a recent version of MediaMonkey for ID tagging, it certainly can't be that. Maybe like Fred suggested, pI do my ost-production in Adobe Audition and saved as an MP3 in there, I probably have to change the encoder to Lamenc or something else. I'll check when I go home tonight and try to re-encode it differently. I'll report my findings later on. Thanks for your responses, guys. :)

Coolness: 159065	Well, Fred was right. It had nothing to do with ID tags or anything. Adobe Audition CS5 only saves MP3s using the Fraunhofer encoder, you can't change to something else. In cases like these, I'm glad I sometimes don't pay for software. Anyway, got Audacity and after spending the initial 3 minutes bypassing the gag reflex over how ugly the interface is, got around to save with the Lame encoder. Uploaded the mix, worked right away. So apparently the Fraunhofer encoder is not true MP3 acording to [ rave.ca ] Oh well. :) Worked anyways, who cares. LOL. Thanks Fred ( and anyone else who contributed ) !

Coolness: 2603930	I'll look into that encoder issue... Seems strange... I will need a copy of the Fraunhofer mp3 file, maybe you can make me a sample mp3 file (3 minutes long) and I will do some tests... Email to noah@rave.ca the file.

Coolness: 159065	Any news the ability to upload Fraunhofer-encoded MP3s ? I tried to use Audacity to re-encode a new mix using the Lame encoder but it doesn't work any more. Re-encoding in Lame is pretty, well, pretty lame... especially now that I can't. :(

Coolness: 685535	No idea what's wrong on your end, but I've never had problems uploading MP3s encoded with Audacity/lame.. what's the filesize like? I think that there's a filesize limit for the mixes.
