ehh, treble is great for helping define notes (though that's mostly the midrange's job) but treble itself.. nahh.. The higher the frequency, the more it damages your hearing.
I'm feeling like a drama magnet right now..

Treble was super fun when I was an acid techno DJ in parties. I remember a few times I felt devilish and reduced the bass on a TB-303 intensive track and cranked the mid and treble almost to the max as I watched the people closest to the speakers sprint off the dancefloor, covering their ears as I grinned like a freaking maniac.

Treble doesn't play as nice on eardrums as bass does but it's still awesome. >:D

You said it. I'm pretty sure there's records of some people going crazy instantly because of those high freq. Prolly even some instant-combustion cases, too.

Bass damages ears as much as high frequencies. It feels more "painful" yes but it will do the same damage to your eardrums.

2 to 5 khz is where the ear is the most sensitive, in most humans

A low frequency drone is not nearly as dangerous as a high pitched tone.

Though it might be psychologically damaging in the long term.

Sorry guys, that tune needs to be mentionned, and i DEFENETLY need to hear that exact version in an event, else i'll never (never) be satisfied.

(WwwaaaaaaaahhhHhh, wwwwaaaaaaaahhhhh!) Woo-woo-woo-woo- Woop-Woop!

I would classify that song (THAT version) in the electro/core field. Would I be wrong?

Well, I love bass. Techno is nothing without bass. However, since I'm into Hardcore, where all the distortion is, mids and highs are much appreciated, 'cause that how we hear all that crazy distortion!

You can put all the disto you want on a bass, but without the clarity, instead of that lovely fuzz all you get is rumbly fart sounds ...

So, I think it's high time ALL the frequencies got their just appreciation ;)
I'm feeling you up right now..
