| Tonight someone I cherish in my life could have died in a fire. I ran out of my home after that friend didn't pick up the phone or answer any messages. I ran down to the building on fire to find that the one up in flames was where my friend lived. I spent 20minutes looking for my friend in the crowd and evac bus. Retreated to the nearby Tim Hortons to enlist another friend to help me in the search. I found my friend there, in pjs and slippers, the only things grabbed while escaping the fire. I held onto my friend and felt the happiest I'd been in a long time.
Shit can happen to anyone you know, even to you. Tomorrow I start telling more people how much I appreciate them, even if they give me a blank stare afterwards.

| I've never lost anyone, thankfully.
But i have a situation that is also affecting my life outlook. Its leading me to understand that life is short. And its pecious. You should make the most out of it, and really work to turn it into what you want to be - I want to be surrounded by people I love, who love me back, doing things I really enjoy doing. But, I'm learning how easy it is to accept unhappiness or discontent because people tell you how lucky you are to have something, or because its easy thing to do. |
