Ok i think Pioneer is just sick! No need to plug your external Traktor soundbox anymore, already included in the mixer ( Big step for all dj's using Timecode !! )

TRAKTOR™ Functionality – Using a USB connection with a PC or Mac, the four decks (players) inside TRAKTOR can be connected simultaneously with the mixer, enabling enhanced flexibility with the software. In addition, the mixer is also TRAKTOR SCRATCH4 certified for TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO / DUO 2, allowing scratch control functionality when using a time code disc5.

@ Recoil:Yeah Suggested Price: 2499$

I'm feeling forward every thurs right now..

wow .. though i don't use serato or whatever, i've been saying for months that they need to make a mixer with a lot of lines per channel, for CDJs, turntables, and soundcards. they finally did it! except for one thing that seems lame, only 2 phono lines .. o_O

i guess we only need 2 phono lines, but my idea was that if there was phono on every channel, then we could plug in the set-up as we wanted, y'know, to match the physical set-up:

if on the table we had CD - TT - Mixer - TT - CD , then we could plug line channel 1, phono channel 2 & 3, line channel 4 ... or whatever variation, depending on where you put the gear on the table.

oh well, still, a big step toward the future for mixers! it's about fucking time XD
I'm feeling you up right now..

Mackie has also had a Traktor Ready mixer out for a couple of years now...

"Sound:
C'mon... it's a Mackie! Of course it sounds good! Blows any Pioneer DJ mixer out of the water and is on par with the Allen and Heath Xone 92"

I'm feeling like a sketchbook! right now..

Never heard of that mixer before Dave! How much ?? Looks good indeed, but like i said to wally, as cool the mixer can be, bar owners will still buy Pionneer gear for their club , or Allen & heath over a rane 68 or your cool mackie. The best would simply to have the traktor usb on every damn mixer;)

yea for sure, the majority will have a pioneer. I forget how much the mackie was going for now... prolly like 1200$ at least. Seems it's been discontinued already tho.

yeah I just guessed that, cuz $2450 is what I paid - after tax - for my brand new Pioneer 600 back in 2000. it still works great, considering the use it's got - but it's definitely old! I'll keep my DJM-600 as a spare, but right now I'm lookin at a Rane. I've mixed on the 56 before and loved the faders and kills

anyone wanna sell me a Rane TTM 56 in good condition, let me know!

ya well I agree the 57SL is awesometown. I have a couple lottery tickets here that I haven't checked, so if they're good, then yes, yes I will buy a brand new 57SL. but if not, I'll just go with the 56.

before I got Traktor, I thought it over.. and decided that as cool as the built-in Serato is, having to bring your mixer to gigs to use it would be tedious... especially if you're playing in another city or country.

so I went and got Traktor Scratch Pro at Long & McQuade, half price for 370 bucks. so the 56 is a great mixer, and I've seen them good condition used on craigslist for 500 bucks

uh oh - I posted about the Rane TTM 56 on facebook and someone posted this:

The 56 is kinda crap the faders break super easily. :/
2 minutes ago

hmmmmm. can anyone verify? I like to do a lot of chopping with faders
