dark psy is the new hardcore...
and it's taking away all the other kinds of psy at parties.
psy parties start looking like hardcore. the people in need for speed go there.
i miss the light smooth vibe of psy parties...
I'm feeling authenthic right now..

if psy kids want it hard, maybe it's 'cause they actually like hardcore, and just don't know it yet :p
I'm feeling you up right now..

that's what i think. i can't wait for them to go to hardcore music. then we'll have the psytrance back. :)

but you hardcore people should make hardcore deco. that could attract more people from the dark dark psy into hardcore. then make the mixed hardpsy and hardcore parties... with some dark fucking deco.

do people into hardcore like the darkpsy? like horrorpsy and all that stuf...
I'm feeling authenthic right now..

people into hardcore like everything that's hard, heavy, n' dark. doesn't have to be fast or distorted. we like it all, from metal to d'n'b, from industrial to trip-hop.

i did the psy/HC thing at Rewire 5, with Clown, with some success; though it was at a time when the scene was at a crossroad, so we had alot of people, but less than expected. but liked the idea, and it went over well. but with all the psy parties happening, i wouldn't do it again (unless it was a 4 room party or something - *winks at mickos* ) .. i'm not into market saturation :p

or make a concept, one room excessively dark, and one excessively light...
1. hardcore, gabber, horror psy, etc...
2. uplifting goa, morning psy, happy hardcore, etc...
has that one been done before?

it's totally true what you say Zombie Nathan.. i used to listen to metal before I discovered electronic music because of hardcore... and after that, I was attracted to psy because of the deco :) and now I like all genres :)
I'm feeling ready to rumble right now..

^^ yeah it's been done .. that's kinda what rewire5 was: hardtech / hardcore in room 1, psy / hhc in room 2, but the lines weren't so drawn between what was necessarily darker and lighter.

i wouldn't do something that panders to everyone, but then separates and divides the ravers once they're in the party ... unless, again, it was some epic-gathering multi-room insane-event.

Kountess: i think metal, and/or punk, and/or industrial is where alot of us hardcore kids have our roots. heavy tunes ftw :)

according to wiki [ en.wikipedia.org ] it can get up to 500 bpm... never heard such a thing though.
mostly darkpsy will be between 150 and 180 bpm...

but there are some people out there that are aiming to make darkpsy as fast as possible... :)
230bpm darkpsy example.... i actually think this one is not too bad for darkpsy. usually i think it has too much the same sounds, but this one is pretty interesting :)

& popo... hardtek? hardcore?
it's not the same, no?
