 Coolness: 37840 | Last week I was in Toronto to celebrate the New Year with some of my Montreal friends. We were planning to go to a rave, and a guy Friend #1 knew had some blotters to sell. The blotter sheet had a picture of Super Mario on it. We bought 10, and - being young and impatient - we decided to take the acid on the day before the rave, at my friend's house. With his parents upstairs, we all took a hit and went to chill on some comfortable furniture and watch a movie. After an hour, I had no effects (other than a chemical taste on my tongue - a sign that the blotters weren't quite right), so I took another. After 2 hours, I still wasn't feeling much, so I took 1 more hits, bringing my dose to a total of 4 hits. By this time, Friend #1 had taken 2.5 hits, and Friend #2 had taken 3.5. At 3 to 4 hours after the initial dose, we were all tripping intensely. The visual and auditory hallucinations were beyond anything I had experienced with LSD or psilocybin mushrooms, as was the mental confusion. Being a well-practiced psychonaut with a high tolerance to most substances, I handled it just fine. Friend #1, however, had a violent reaction to the substance. He began vomiting, and then went into psychosis, shrieking and thrashing. I've never seen someone in such a state of absolute panic and terror in my life - it looked like some kind of exorcism. To make the situation worse, his parents came down, freaking him out even more. I asked them for antipsychotics or benzodiazepines, but of course, your average rich white religious old person doesn't have that kind of shit lying around - so his parents ended up calling an ambulance. This was somewhat stressful, since I had to talk with a bunch of cops while tripping balls. Thank God I was in a conscious state, or my other friend (who had just been lying down and mumbling nonsense this whole time) and me could have gotten in some real trouble.
After my friend was shipped off to the ambulance, me and Friend #2 were kicked out of Friend #1's house, and had to wander around aimlessly in Toronto. I must say, it was absolutely gorgeous. The air was shimmering with some kind of translucent colourful fog, and all the grass and trees were covered with shiny artifacts that resembled peacock feathers. Other people looked like some species of mutant troll thing, and everything was warped and shimmering and full of little dots of green and red and purple and all sorts of other bright colours. It looked like some kind of alien dream world - this description really doesn't do it justice. It was the most beautiful visual experience of my life. 7 grams of mushrooms wasn't even at this level. I full-out tripped for a total of about 20 hours. With the come-up and comedown, I would say the total duration of the drug was somewhere around 28 hours. This tipped me off that we were probably tripping on a DOx compound. When I talked to Friend #1 after he had gotten out of the hospital, this hypothesis was confirmed. I am pretty sure that we were on a high dose of DOB, with a low dose of LSD mixed in (both a DOx compound and LSD came up on Friend #1's blood test). So, if you get your hands on Mario blotter acid anytime soon, be careful! Unlike LSD, DOx compounds can cause overdoses quite easily. They also take a long time to kick in - so it's probably a good idea not to take a whole bunch (like I did) just because you don't feel anything in the first hour. That said... DOB is now one of my new favourite drugs. :) |

it says also it can last from 18 to 30 hours, and compare to lsd, can make people overdose or have physical pain (like the first post said) kind of wierd though i did lsd during the vacation, it did taste bad, so it made me wonder on the quality or even if it was 100% lsd take a while to get me high, took 2, but after 2-3 hours i was in the sky! but it wasn't intense, or the visual wasn't more than what i have experienced before though the day after, me and my boyfriend had terrible stomach ache, big time. I had to rest all day to feel some how a little better and it was the first time i took lsd that was on a thick material, wich i did find wierd usually it's on a sheet, not really more thick than paper, but a little this time it was almost cardboard :S Update » Daf wrote on Wed Jan 5, 2011 @ 4:16pm oh and by the way, sorry for your friend, i hope he got better quick

Next time you fail to see or understand something I hope the one who will show you the way will be more gracious than you have been.
I rolled my mouse on the text trying to see if there was a link I couldn't see (be it because of my colours or not). You can always count on an ass to act like on, thanks for the consistency. for the record, I also tried to google the topic, albeit quickly, and didn't find any note worthy results. i did mdma in my parent's house once and i ended up going out because i was paranoid, every move i made seemed like a reason that they could suspect i was high... and i could not enjoy myself in that way... |

| Coolness: 185300 | nothing wrong doing acid in the same house as your parent, if you are not scared of your parents :P it can even be better than doing it in the street if you ask me (i love wandering in the city high on acid, but not always the safest thing to do)
i once bought alot of it, and before giving it to my friend, i wanted to make sure of the quality and how strong they were so i end up trying one in my bedroom, while my mom was in the living room watching tv she never ever even knew, i kept quiet in my bedroom with Tom the cat played video games and draw crazy things to past the time the high was so nice and easy, smooth but strong visual strangely it was one of my best experience on acid (and unfortunately i did alot) and my cat was in heaven (i think i most have pet him for at least 1 hour straight, he was still a kitten at the time, and his grey/white fur was so smooth and nice, it made me think of the ocean and i couldn't stop looking at it hahah) aaah my sweet 19, good times, don't think i would do acid by myself now, not necessarily something i suggest, since you never know what could happen acid is by far my favorite drug, though i think if you can live without it, it's just the best, like any other drug. There are tons of other ways, more healthier, to open our mind and discover life. |
