I could see how an 8 band crossfading eq could come in handy if you're this guy:

in the same price range, I'd go with the rane sixty-eight... I think rane acctually goes out and designs mixer for human beings.
I'm feeling forward every thurs right now..

ha from what I've hear the frequency mixer is actually quite nice. Really good if your mixing minimal, prog, or psy and want really smooth mixes.

Looks like an amazing mixer...
Mind you I wouldn't buy this thing to rent it out... one beer and there goes all that digital processing goodness.
I'm feeling bad chemistry right now..

Jealous? :) "Rave Sound" is getting Ravier!

Thanks to Solotech for being the only company in Montreal having them NEW in stock! And cause the more you pay for your mixer, the better the music sounds... This baby turns amateurs into professionals.

it was only a little bit more then the djm800... and since i already have the cdj2000's why not get the mixer which works with them. it also looks good when you see people playing behind them. makes for good photos and i think most people appreciate playing on good equipment!

with the djm 2000 u have 3 different effects processor wich allows u to have 3 effect over lapping.
u can also choose on wich frequency to put ur effect on, wich degree and all... not only does it have a touch mixer with 7 eq ... but u have 4 type of samplers with 2 banks each... and u have 4 different touch effects x-y( kaoss pad style)... and of course everything is midi mapable...

awesome mixer...i often play with it at work... if anyone wants to try it... come see me ;)

and like noah says...if u have the budget for the 800... ur waaayyy better off with the 2000...

lool! true that rane have awesome composite for the audio... if u dont need all those effects and have 3000$ to spend on a 4 chanel mixer ...the sixty-eight is ur perfect match... it gots 2 usb...2 xlr mic inputs (pretty nice to have for lives)... also completly midi mapable... but wont have all the links for the 900s and 2000s..

well that was my 2 pennys from steves... mah!
I'm feeling book meeee right now..
