One of her images comes from this website
[ quinnster.fqdn.net ]

It's a well-known website for ideas and how to do hair etc, I make dreads myself, I gained information there when i was first starting out ;).

One of the images stuck out like a sore thumb, i remember that one.

[ quinnster.fqdn.net ]

Here's the picture in question. That's been there for almost a decade.

If you make dreads, I fully support you! it can be quite fun! It's something i'm very passionate about, but use your own pics. or state very very clearly this is a example of what I can do. They say imitation is the highest form of flattery so make be orignal have your own style, and the flattery will come in EN MASSE.

Thanks!

what happen to real dreads

those looks nothing close like the best looking dreads i have seen in my life

i know a lot of people prefer the fake one, not me

there's something about dreads, that make them awesome
the fact that it takes time to have impressive dreads and alot of time is adding a Je-ne-sais-quoi to it

something you don't get with the fakes, i imagine

Daf, while you're point is valid. and i liked the blonde girl's dreads.

There's something about fake dreads i like, i make mine very tight and slick. I like the clean, slick look to them, if they are well made. Also being about to change my hair as i want, to be able to have hair i like and be able t still look professional, not hating real dreads, but the jobs i've worked for frown apon that. and also with fake dreads, having it any color i want and it never fading, hense not having to kill my hair dying it again and again. that's how i feel personally :)

How i make my dreads, could take 5 hours or more, and after my arms hurt, my hands hurt and my fingers are burnt and swollen.

totally agree.. My personal philosophy on things is that if you're going to do it, do it right, do it properly, and do the real thing..

One of the whole problems/things that makes me laugh, is exactly what Kathleen pointed out, that jobs don't always like dreads.. All the people you see with these fake dreads are "goths" or some form of alternative "cyber"-goth-wannabe subgenre.. all these people that go around with the exact same "Conformity is the death of the soul" T-shirt that they all bought from Cruella's (AKA Goth-GAP).. but once the weekend is over it's all "no I can't go and offend anyone, I have to conform and fit in with what everyone else's idea of what I should look like is"

It's all bullshit for weekend-warriors.

And as a little added note, Allison did my dreads on monday, super fucking well done! Back-combed and crochet'd so that they're super-tight from the start!

I'm feeling like a drama magnet right now..

yeah good points too, and it all depend on the person

because me personnaly what i dislike of the fake one, is the slick part and that you can take them off

having dreads is like a big decision in someone life, well, most of us, i guess more girls than boys (since boys can shave and not be terrified about the idea haha)

since dreads is something permanent, that needs time, it's a big commitment when you decide to have them. It's a part of you, like a tattoo, that you need to accept to live with and deal with the problem that comes with

it's a big commiment because you decide to permanently ruin your hair. As a girl, i know that's what make me think the most before doing them. Everyone was telling me that to remove them when i'll get tired, i'll need to shave, and that idea did scare me. Though i knew i could find a way without shaving, and i did. Though my hair were pretty messed up, i never regreted it having my dreads for more than 5 years

and why i don't like the slick part, only because i think real dreadlocks look natural and wild, something that the fake one are missing

though you all look good with them that's for sure, i just miss the old days i guess :P
I'm feeling kiss me, im shitface right now..

I'm not sure how exactly your hair can be conformist or not..... I see tons of people with dreadlocks now. So I guess your jumping on the bandwagon too?

Having hair makes you a comformist.. go bald or go home bitches! :)
