 Coolness: 93520 | I can't tell if this thred is legit or an attempt at promoting epic coalition. But, serious "DJ Battles" to prove superiority of one dj over another don't really belong at raves. It kills the vibe. Futhermore, all talk of whose a better DJ is pretty stupid. Leaving alone the fact that they both focus on different genres, its obvious which dj is better, both from a technical and artistic point of view. Both DJs know. Everyone knows. So wut their arguing about is beyond me. |

Battles really only work if both dudes are doing the same thing. A hiphop MC battle could result in some kind of winner. A ragga soundclash or whatever, where the parameters are defined, ok. A BBQ Ribs cook-off makes sense but if you have a battle of the chefs where one guy bakes a dark chocolate cake and the other one does a 4-course fusion cuisine meal, it's pointless, LOL. If you try to put the results down to crowd response then you're really just measuring who likes cake vs. who likes sautéed beef served over udon noodles with a parsnip puree infused with ginger essence. Pointless, but hopefully yummy ;D |

whether there should be money involved, or any real conclusive action, not so much, but more of a friendly battle between two talented djs. (in my opinion, this beef has nothing to do with actual skills or music etc, more of a personal thing) so boys, let the games begin! maybe you can even do 30 mins each, so 2 rounds each total or something to that effect... |
