 Coolness: 685565 | I actually prefer the Death Note movie to the anime.. well the first two movies, the 3rd one has nothing to do with the actual Death Note story, it's just what happens after..
The anime just got too long and ridiculous and had a few too many luls in the story/action.. The movie was to the point, no spending an hour introducing characters that are just gonna get taken out and have no relevance on the main conflict.. |

| Coolness: 131570 | oh thats why i mention it , i still enjoyed dn way much compare to real life salor moon or someting (exagerating and at the same time no) about the only one that succeeded , that and uzumaki.
if it turn turbo plastic (all pop jap anim remake) i drift out of it : by that i mean cheap by the book actor skills , unnatural scenes and the like. my 2 cents |

| Coolness: 685565 | yeah it could get really bad.. I hope it doesn't though, there's a potentially amazing sci fi movie waiting to happen if they nail the story right.. just like Neuromancer... I'm scared that if it gets made into a movie that it'll suck, but if they get it right, it'll be one of the greatest movies ever...
Uzumaki was OK, but I dunno, I was kinda disappointed with it.. The movie was just the 1st half of the story, and I really wanted to see the rest.. The manga is mind blowing.. it's a story that almost comes off like H.P.Lovecraft re-incarnated Japanese.. the movie also seemed, I dunno, a little too silly and "bright".. I felt it could have been a lot darker and a lot more serious.. |

| Coolness: 131570 | okay , if you read all 38(50)somthing 1st/2nd print mangas you might be REALLY disapointed, esp if the only grounds they have is the old anime.
the anime of akira is already lacking lots, they skip tru 2 neotokio desruction , the apex of the story is divided into 3 distinct parts truout the manga and only at the complete end of the story does tetsuo get wiped out, and about 2/3 is -with- the acutal akira , live and all, so please i do hope they dont forward it light years like the anime compare to the manga. i want to see psychik gang wars in the upmost apocalyptik setup . post-apocalyptic sentry robots that clears the street of these and thoses gangs (kenedas clowns etcc..) eentually getting around them and fucking winning neotokio back free people network style |
