well... its 140... 4/4, if it was 70 then it would be 2/4... and even then structurally that would not work, the whole beat is created by having strong elements right before and after the snare hit (on 3) creating a swing effect or syncopation if you will... makes you move your body from left to right every bar...
I'm feeling lovely right now.. |

guys... tempo and signature depend on how you consider the beat!
you can view dubstep (actually any kind of music) as 4/4 @70bpm or as 8/4 @140bpm (the whole pattern in each bar) or as 4/4 @140bpm (half a pattern per bar) or as anything else...
I'm feeling phd powa !!! right now.. |

There's gems in all kinda music (except, probably, happy hardcore ...)
There's also lots repetitive, unnoriginal shit everywhere. I love dubstep, but 85 % of it is boring as fuck. I'd say the same thing about most genres though. What I find interesting with dubstep though, is that it's a very, very diverse genre.

I mean, what other genre has and this I mean.... one of em gives me the feeling like I'm floating in space and the other one makes me wanna smash a hole through the floor... I love both though
