Stereo and any other big club is never gonna play the "out there" stuff, by that i mean, Dnb, dub step, hard core, noise core etc etc, they may occasionally experiment from time to time, usually because someone managed to fool them into letting us have the club for the night... the reason for this is because the people who listen to those types of music don't have any money, and the people who own clubs are primarily interested in money, basically what they want, is well dressed wealthy peaceful people who come spend money on overpriced sub standard Blow... seriously i think we have to just give up on after hours..,the club is for loser wannabes who don't know anything, it's like "hey guys let's go do extacy this weekend, let's go to (enter non descript club name)" sure it's happened in the past that clubs have been owned by cool people who have done cool stuff (eg. Sona) and it might happen again, but lets be honest most clubs are owned by greasy sleazy gino organized crime type people...these people don't care about music or ambiance... one of the reasons why this thing of ours is special is because not many people know about it, you sort of have to be in the loop a little to be in on it, more importantly, it's us creating fun for ourselves, not just passively soaking up what someone else has dictated is "fun" or "interesting' or "new", when we don't like something about our thing we just change it cause we have the power to do that. let the posers have their clubs we have parties... |

| Coolness: 159245 | Well, it's like I said, Stereo is in the gay village so it's only normal it caters to the major demographic that attends this place. Last I checked, there ain't that many gays into D&B and such.
On the flipside, no one can blame Stereo for having more mainstream music because of, well, where it is. Stereo with D&B is like asking the Black & Blue events to play noisecore : ain't gonna happen. Therefore, like Basdini said, clubs cater to those who usually attend, afterhours cater to people who, erm, likes to stay out all night and score designer drugs (I guess), and loft parties have a more homey feeling. Each type of place caters to whom brings the money in. There's a reason Laval clubs play a shitload of hip hop clubs a reason why the gay village clubs play a lot of house with wailing divas. :) |

There was a few nights here and there, but the owners were never really into that sound. It was more about house, tribal, funk and some progressive... But let's see who are the next guests and new residents, maybe they will add more minimal this time around. |
