Back then there wasn't really anything like them around, it was new and fresh & it wasn't as formulaic like it is today It the 90s when the parties got bigger and people started dying from dyhydration (promoters would shut off the water to sell more at the bar) and extasy overdoses, thats when the media turned super negative Also the fact criminal elements got involved, due to the lucrative drug trade, really changed the vibe Its good to know most promoters nowadays (aside from a few, we all know who they are ;), stay out the drug trade, which is good So maybe the media focus will turn to something more positive eventually Update » Blisss wrote on Mon Jul 6, 2009 @ 8:33pm Lol, I recognize the black kid in the video at 2:30, he ended up playing in that KIDS movie...which incidentally features some good footage from a rave party at the Limelight (I think) |
