Ritual @ Amc

I wasn't going to go since I went to Rm11 the other night but I could not refure the free passes I was given so at about 4:00am (which was 3:00am) I decided to get my ass down to the AMC and check what was happening. There was a small lineup which laster about 30 minutes outside but I did not mind at all since the cold kept me awake... Since the night before I was a little too high I decided to take this party sober...
Music: It was only really mark anthony spinning and his tracks were either good or bad... The only time energy came alive was with some dude who did a live 15 minutes of electric guitar rifts over the techno... He also painted on the visual screens faces which was kinda neat... Like all 514 parties this was commercial and at one point I felt like I was in a back street boys concert with some dude singing over the music and 5 dancers dancing in sinc on stage... Was cool though. Vibe: Yah it was a 514 vibe but there was tons of security so I doubt many people were selling anything. In fact I got asked a few times if I had any speed cause people needed so badly... Girls in whore outfits and stuff but it's all good cause it was eye candy... Dancing: Lots of people dancing... I think maybe 2 thousand people were there maybe more... Definately more than Rm... I didn't stop dancing till about 7am when I went home... It's great dancing at 514 parties cause the music isn't too fast so even sober you can drift away and do your little tribal dances... Sound/Lights: Same sound as Rm11 I think but the lighting was different (I think)... It was higher up and more lights and different effects... Was good... I can't make a real judgement cause at Rm11 I was in my mush world and here sober but yah the lighting was good... Anyways I'm glad I went and I had a good time even though I didn't really socialze with anyone since no one to socialize with... As much as the underground has a great feel, commercial parties have their benefits also... |

ritual had a crew who knew what they were doing a lot more then rm 11.. you can tell just by the extras they had set up..
not to mention the really cool visuals they had for ritual. |

dude, its probably because there was alot more people at ritual then rm11.. more people, more budget.. |

a lot more? no.. more.. yes.
but the budget prolly was a shared one given that they used all the same equip.. the only diff was that there was a small stage put in. it's just the small things that made em seem more professional.. for one they actually raised the lighting rig up higher so that it wasn't blocking the projections... |

I wasn't there, can't say any founded statements or anything...
but it' easier to adapt when you've seen the whole thing go down the night before... |

psst.
if you want a discount keep in mind that most ticket rippers don't check the ticket to see if it says adult or kid.. |

erm, don't the people selling the tickets know what button to push on the computer? I'm pretty certain I can't get in as a kid...
But like, if your working, can I show up with a post it note that says "Trance Rules!" and you can rip it like a ticket? :) man, I just remembered those cool drinks they sell in the theater.. The thing that's like a slush and a soft drink... omg, I have to go now! |
