I know this kind of thread surfaces once in a while but things change, people have good or bad experiences that might make them update their contact lists but...

... can anyone recommend a reliable and fairly inexpensive printing place or website ?

Here's what I need : 100 double sided "flyers" (read: wedding invitations) printed on decent card/thick paper, nothing fancy, 4 colours, matte finish and decent to good quality but most importantly : 5 x 7".

I checked a couple of websites but a lot of them either do not print this size, some do but won't print below 500 or 1000 copies, some won't ship to Canada, some are willing to do it but claim it's a not a standard size (which is bullshit since it's often labeled as "standard modern postcard") and will charge an insane price as result on my "eclectic size choice".

I don't need anything express - I prefer a longer job done well than a rushed one done fast - large quantities (100, that's it), envelopes or ribbons or anything even remotely weddingy. I need regular flyers, period.

This board hasn't failed me in the past, at least not for this type of valuable info so I once again ask y'all kindly for help.

Write here, PM me, e-mail me or whatever works for you.

Thank you in advance.

I'm feeling skate 2 right now..

standard postcard is 4x8 i believe not 5x7
And yeah most printers that I know of there limit is 6000, there are a few that do half runs of 3000, but still seems like way more than you need.

[ overnightprints.com ] will do it and for fairly cheap, but than you will get nailed for like a $35 or more brockerage fee through UPS.
I'm feeling jungle jam in june! right now..

Chances are that you won't find a commercial printing place to do it. 100 simply is too low. Buy some special paper and print em out yourself, then cut them yourself. Or check someplace like copy concordia....

Your best bet in my humble opinion is Quadriscan, ( [ www.quadriscan.com ] , 6000 Saint-Urbain ) if you're in the Montreal area, they can do a very good digital output, which is what you'll be going for, being that for offset, yes the usual quantities are 500/1000 minimum... they had good prices last time, and they treat with small-timers such as ourselves ((-_-))

Hahahahaha ! Thanks Trey !

BTW Kittah, what's wrong with Staples ? Any horror stories you wanna share because I'm considering Bureau En Gros as a a matter of fact.

All your guys' input was really really valuable but... I've got such a small amount to print, no one seems keen to do it ( and I can understand if the guy standing behind me in the line has a contract to print 10 000 copies of a document and is ready to pay for that).
