Yeah it's a shame....Lisa Lashes couldn't make it this year. Sorry there aren't enough opportunities at it for you to practice your cool hardcore shuffle dance or whatever it is you do at your WAY cooler raves playing hard.

Hi, 1994 called...they want their genre back.

Just coming on here to thank you and other people with crappy attitudes like yourself for NOT coming to an awesome festival and party experience. You'd just ruin it. But really, is it that hard to just accept that maybe YOUR preferences aren't THE BEST in the entire universe? And that maybe, since you have no clue what you are talking about, you don't have to slam something that you admitted 98% you haven't heard of?

Um...wow. First of all, it my critism that there was a lack of harder genres. And second, its a fair criticism:

A festival that`s suppose to be EDM based, has non EDM genres featured such as hip-hop artists and garbage, and more dub than anyone with any musical taste could possibly want to listen to over a weekend. It also has a shit load funky breaks DJs (probably for people who don`t like EDM much at all)...and yet, there is no room for any hardcore, hardstyle, hard dance, hard house or trance (with the exception of psy)???

And no offense, but well over half the people at shambhala are locals from the kelowna region that are there just for the drugs. Most of them couldnt name a single dj they wanted to see, or a DJ that wasnt named Tiesto, Burin or Dre. So its not THAT magical, and the vibe is THAT good. IMO, everyone on this board would probably contribute more positively to the vibe at Shambhala than 90% of the people there.

Yeah, its a good festival. But its by no means perfect. Someone needs to get off their high horse, or get the fuck off this board.
I'm feeling so long dental plan right now..

Caution: TL/DR incoming

Ok there, looks like I hit a sore spot. Maybe you don't realize this but you typed all that shit too fast and it looks like a retard wrote it.

If I didn't kick your ass when I met you, it was probably because that time I wanted you to leave my house without thiefing anything. Also, I hadn't heard shit other than "don't trust him" beforehand.

If I remember correctly, I started dissing you on here because enough people hate you, and it went something more like this:

Then I got a series of gayass messages full of typos. By the end I wrote a little psychoanalysis and you got all butthurt again and defended it with some sort of shit about living large and not caring what anyone says.

Anyways, I posted shitloads of your personal info all over the internet long ago so maybe you want to STFU yourself. That CP you posted might get you in serious trouble one day.
I'm feeling mighty frisky right now..

1-Hip-Hop not EDM? Well...to me, Hip-Hop is electronic music, and really fun to dance to.
2-If hip-hop is garbage....I doubt hard electronic music is worth anything. You obviously don't know enough about hip-hop before criticizing that genre.
3-Most hardcore/hard styles fans of EDM I know are 16 years old kids who don't know shit about music.
4-There is lots of dubstep/dub electronic artists, but they all have their distinct genre. Dubstep is a very diverse genre of music that tries not to separete into sub-genres. I see a big big difference between Excision and Sub Swara, for example. Both will play slow breaky music with lots of bass, but with two totally different vibes.
5-Sure, Shambhala got its load of "funky breaks DJs", but seriously, it's more logical to get non-interesting popular music, than non-interesting non-popular music (harder genres).
6-Lots of people are from the region of Kelowna and around, for sure, but there's also people who are coming from all around north-america and other countries in the world. I doubt these people would fly to Salmo if Shambhala wasn't the magical event that it is.
7-People on this board would contribute more positively to the Shambhala vibe!?! Fuck...I'm sorry, I love montreal EDM scene and all...but this community is full of drama and that kinda stuff...Lots of hipocrisy and lack of open minds, despite what most people try to show as an image....
I'm feeling the bass right now..

I think the BC vibe itself is more positive than anywhere in Canada, so you can't single out the smallest most jaded community (next to ottawa & Toronto) and compare it to BC. It doesn't make sense, it's like comparing strawberry's to turds. We have something called work ethic out here, life isn't a 24/7 party, so our tastes become more refined than their "I'll listen to anything because I have an open mind" tastes. I mean it's great and all, but I'm a "no bullshit" or "cut through the bullshit" kinda guy, and I think that's what a lot of us are like out here. Give me the good stuff, or else don't be expecting me to pay for a 200$ ticket just to take mad drugs and stare at pretty deco & lights all night waiting for the one or two acts I payed to see, not some face chewing local. Leaving with severe brain damage for that doesn't seem worth it. I've never had the pleasure of attending a festival of that magnintude because a lot of the time the line ups we're not up to my standards, for sure it works wonders for the everyday coot that doesn't know much about good tunes, but I'm not that guy, and I'm sure a lot will agree with me on that too. We want the good shit, and we want it now, not later, not in three years (maybe)...right now. ;) But props non-the-less to the Shambhala crew, don't blacklist me for speaking my mind, I might wanna show up there sometime.

Ps: Butthurt *_*

Well...just out of curiosity, did you just decided that since you don't know most of these artists, they must be shit, or did you at least go to their myspace and take a look at what they play, and make your mind following their music, and not their reputation?
I'm feeling the bass right now..

For me the only point is the price.LIke i said i saw Malente,Deekline and artist like that for 5$.Ac Slater as well. The line-up is fine ,but it's really expensive.I'm pretty sure there would be more out of towner if the price was around 75$ .
I'm feeling on a boat right now..

Bro, I know most of the artists, read my post carefully. The headliners are great, they're just not my thing, and like what melo said, we're spoiled here, so "been there done that" this year, that's about it, maybe next year if shit pans out for me and I'm around that way, I'd love to check out the village, I hear it's sick. I gotta be ballin to get that golden ticket though friends, it's a little steep ;)
