 Coolness: 339660 | PvD was good back in the mid 90s, but then he got a big head and started "remixing" tracks by just adding the same simbals and claps to every song without changing anything else.. weak. He hasn't put out any good works in well over 10 years.
My fav trance is Way Out West, Above and Beyond, Armin Van Burren has also shown himself to consistently put out good remixes. Tiesto is overrated. He's still riding that one remix he did of Sarah McLaughlin. If I had to name someone you've probably never heard of that makes good music, John O'Callaghan. |

 Coolness: 38765 | I love Anahata (psybient), Ekoplex (nighttime), Astral Waves, Vibrasphere, Byron Dreamweaver and other western friends who make such outstanding epic deep music, lots of hard dark trippy stuff, and many of the superfine DJ's and producers that we have here in the east... and I don't think this thread is complete without our Younger Brother, Sponglucinogen, and ADHAM SHAIKH <3<3<3 (if some of his stuff can be considered trancey). Dubbish psy has gotten into my veins too.
I don't really like mainstream trance but hey whatever floats your boat. I love everything from deep downtempo psIDM, to hardcore industrial psy, to world/dub psy, to full on to night time to goa to melodic, psytrance/dark symphonic metal... endless music. There are some things that I haven't heard yet that I want to, so I'm going to try to make it. |
