 Coolness: 229715 | well, if you play a 3d shooter game like quake 4 or something, you may find quite a bit of activity in the mapping forums for the game, though for modelling sch as this you'd have to have the game and editor. This is my favorite way to do 3d because it lets you use your work like a world and take a character into it.

For the multiplayer, q3 was a great improvement from q2 but what attract me the most about game is the single-player missions ; I like adventure, quests, tasks, puzzles, ... So considering the whole game, not making abstraction that there was no SP, it broke the serie. Just like Unreal Tournament sucked compared to Unreal and it's mission packs. To me omission is like abstinence for voting, you concede to the one proposing, in this case conceding that SP isn't worthwhile. I don't have Q3, could you please take a dozen of different screen shots of [ lvlworld.com ] or perhaps make a video strolling around the map ? And perhaps put it on youtube ? |

| Coolness: 229715 | I see what you mean, yeah I liked the single player quests also, I waas always a fan of rpg adventures, but my fav games of all time are two arcade only games, ones called samurai showdown 64 and the other virtual on.
As for making a movie of me running thru my map, i dont have q3 installed at the moment either, i had it a few months ago but removed it for some reason.. Have you checked out wings3d yet? |

[ en.wikipedia.org ] Designed as a stand-alone modeler, without animation or 'proper' rendering facilities it should not be confused with software that does include such features - although its modeling capabilities stand extremely favourable comparison with equivalent sections of such applications - whether free or commercial. Unless I can export what it does to Blender 3D or another GPL 3D program, I'll have to pass. |

| Coolness: 229715 | what it does is let you make models, you can import them into other apps for adding inverse kinematics and animation. But no ther app models quite like this one, its very intuitive and makes models like the alien you commented about in minutes. |
