| Coolness: 221805 | you could also ask Tim Schult to do mastering if you like.. as for Silicon sound, he did many of the DACRU records releases and most of the stuff off of Neurobiotic Records.
To be honest though, many artists now do there own mastering (at least in the psytrance scene).. |

it's only good, and i guess necessary, to get those 'industry standard' frequencies in the EQ department so that your tunes aren't too bassy or high, compared to other releases, and that your overall volume is consistent and at the same level (again industry standard) as most albums out on CD... but i admit, that is really hard to pull off. my opinion still stands for that lame over-produced-pop sound though...but that usually only bothers me as far as organic music goes (polished metal is not heavy! <--not scientifically speaking:P) |
