Hello all, I am looking for a DJ who can spin techno from before 1997, we're talking orbital, prodigy, chrystal method, chemical brothers, anything old but awesome.
I want a DJ who can spin good enough old music to make new school kids believers and to make old schoolers remember good times.
pm me or post a demo here :D

I am looking for moderatly downtempo stuff so nothing faster than prodigy.

Creature Productions
I'm feeling warm and fuzzy right now..

bleh Agoria is really boring, live...
you should ask Mutante or some other NeuroTiK DJs, some of them might have what you're looking for (and if that's the case, definitely mixing properly :)
I'm feeling phd powa !!! right now..

I mean, really, all it takes is Serato/Traktor/Torq and 15 minutes on any torrent site, and any DJ could do the mix.. Just grab some "Greatest Hits" of the bigger old-skool electronic artists and bob's your uncle.
I'm feeling older right now..

errmm... there's "DJ" and "DJ", you know... two very different things ;)

putting 2 tracks one after the other, rather overlapping for a few bars and beatmatching, is the kind of DJing that requires 1 to 6 months of practice and that thousands and thousands of people can do...

but actually building a 1-hour piece of music by combining carefully chosen tracks at the right moment and playing wisely with the faders (smoothly or cuts or...), the band equalizers, and maybe effects or scratching or anything else, THIS is real DJing, and represents only a very small part of the DJs world...

i know you see what i mean, i just wanted to point out to everybody what i meant by "mixing it properly" :)
I'm feeling phd powa !!! right now..

ya fred, O_O , you're one of the last people I thought would say something like that, but wtv... I think seeing a dj play actual records from 15 years ago is way cooler and more authentic for the purpose of nostalgia and history, but some people would disagree... not to mention that I personally own tons of records which, honnestly good luck, you cannot find digital copies of...

Ufot-things change, mad re-arrange but it all stays the same like the love doctor (insert emotion)...

Oh, no, I absolutely agree, but like, the extent of his research is "Do any of you do this?", and he's not even bothering to contact obvious locals that have been around for ages, like Steve Lalla, Bliss, Milton Clark, etc..

It's like, "Ok everyone, do my research work for me plz kthxbai"
