I've been a mod for about two weeks now.

You know when the 'change' came about?

When people on this site started pitying a murderer and became too stupid to understand facts, and when they lost the ability to put a little deductive reasoning together (I don't care how much black ice your car slips on, if you're following the speed limit, you DON'T uproot a tree, crash into a car, and end up inside a house's living room)

The fact that so many people are willing to overlook someone's blatant stupidity, which resulted in the loss of a life, has made me lose ALL respect for those who did not, at the very least, realise after MORE facts came up, that the person in question is LYING to get pitty.

While I may not 100% agree with all of Satanism's theory (notably the need for dogmatic ritual to conduct magical ceremony) my beliefs/morals are very much unwavering.

6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires!

1. Stupidity—The top of the list for Satanic Sins. The Cardinal Sin of Satanism. It’s too bad that stupidity isn’t painful. Ignorance is one thing, but our society thrives increasingly on stupidity. It depends on people going along with whatever they are told. The media promotes a cultivated stupidity as a posture that is not only acceptable but laudable. Satanists must learn to see through the tricks and cannot afford to be stupid.

...and this is why, in so many words, I have lost all respect for most of ravewave, and currently don't give enough of a fuck to be nice or funny. I don't respect stupid people, I don't pitty stupid people, and I don't show kindness to stupid people.

Dumping a girl once gives her 2 turntables.

Dumping a girl twice gives her nothing.

J'en prends note.

Involuntary manslaughter->Recklessness

In many jurisdictions, such as in California, if the unintentional conduct amounts to such gross negligence as to amount to a willful or depraved indifference to human life, the mens rea may be considered to constitute malice. In such a case, the charged offense may be murder, often characterized as second degree murder.

Unintentional

For a killing to be considered murder, there normally needs to be an element of intent. For this argument to be successful

Peace out!

This is what a car that gets in an accident at 30 km/h (The speed limit on Gouin, which he was "following") looks like

Yeah, any passengers in that car TOTALLY needed to have the jaws of life used to pry open the car and ended up with broken ribs/in the hospital/dead. They totally did enough damage to uproot a tree, hit a car, and have enough momentum to end up in a livingroom.

You need to understand that life isn't either in black and white.

In regards to your first paragraph that mentions malice, I noticed your refrained from mentioning the example from your Wikipedia source which says: "An instance of this would be a defendant throwing a brick off a bridge, into vehicular traffic below." [ en.wikipedia.org ]

Having taken several law classes, I highly doubt that the prosecutors will press charges for murder as that would break one of the fundamental pylons on which our judiciary institution relies on, which in this case would be breaking the trust in our legal system. Other than the obvious fact that the guy lost his lover... I think the majority of the population would find it very odd to press murder charges.

Also, from what I recall about the Canadian criminal code, it is the prosecutor that has the burden of proof that the defendant did not take enough "precautions not to kill" when it comes to murder charges, not the other way around.

If anything, the prosecutors would press charges for Causing death by criminal negligence (art. 219 (1) b) from Criminal Code) [ laws.justice.gc.ca ] But even there, we would need a majority based opinion of flesh-eating revenge-seeking activists, plus a heartless judge.

So what does this come down to? Manslaughter, as much as this might piss you off, you just can't have the satisfaction of calling someone a murderer because you have the capacity to read black written characters off white paper.
