Since Loose Change and the proof that Alex Jones is a Zionist puppet, I've lost all respect for "truth" videos.
I'm feeling hopeful right now..

AH HA! If you've got dirt on Alex Jones, I want it now! I was just arguing with a friend about all these damn conspiracy theory videos, and he wouldn't budge on his position that Alex Jones only speaks the truth! I'm gonna rub that shit in... his... FACE!
I'm feeling cool right now..

I'm not the right person to ask that question cause i was never a believer in the christian religion. Even though I know the feeling of wanting strongly to believe in some kind of heaven or nice afterlife I've always been too painfully committed to rational thinking to decide on such unknowable things. However the thought of ones friends and family being truly gone or especially the thought of them being all alone and suffering somewhere is often too much to bear. The thought of them standing outside the fabric of reality trying to get back in terrorizes me. I theorize that in order to protect themselves, their sanity and their happiness and their need to have hope, even to stay alive, belief can be like a reflex. In some cases it can be a hope, in others a belief and in others a complete mental barrier of resistance. Like Shindy said, guilt. Of course it's not the same for everybody but I can only theorize.

As for the holidays the reason these holidays coincide has mostly to do with the fact that the vatican were invaders who had trouble assimilating the pagan peoples and getting them to let go of old traditions. To make this a lot easier they made christian holidays coincide with pagan ones. This enabled them to apply new christian meanings to old pagan symbols in a way that allowed the population to stay in their comfort zone, making assimilation a lot easier. It doesn't actually defunct jesus' existence but as a non-religious person it doesn't really matter to me if he existed or not. It wouldn't make the whole story true anyway.

Some theories might seem farfetched, but if one man can think of it, another one can do it somewhere, and wether or not it's already in motion, it could get there eventually.

1 thing for sure, the guy does this for a reason, that seems to be quite valid to me: [ www.thevenusproject.com ]

To this i would give laurent's answer:

I'm a non-religious man. But i did a year in religious studies, so when i hear claims and things about religious conspiracy, aliens from the old testament, Atlantis and Egyptian from Mars, i feel a bit like a guy minoring in physics being told by some delusional guy that the earth is flat.

And I'd add that the reason they made this is quite clear to me as well. Numerous people are making a shitload of money off of it. They wouldn't be making all that cash if they were selling the truth about what they know, then it'd just be like 1000 other documentaries that don't make a dime.

Peter Joseph didn't even have the balls to use his real name(James Coyman). All anyone seems to know about this guy is that he's also the owner of the company that released the film:

Besides that he doesn't really seem to exist.

As for the Venus project I'm not sure what their affiliation with the zeitgeist creators is but it's clear that they too can profit from this relationship. Regardless of who the venus project is it's a seperate entity that doesn't lend any credibility to zeitgeist or to itself but appeals to the human heart and has the effect of making zeitgeist content seem more credible by having a nice human aim. In reality it changes nothing about the information portrayed as truth in the film.

Jacques Fresco is the founder of the venus project. Having read their "aims and proposals" they reflect everything everyone in the world wants for our society and they have no more of an implementation plan than anyone else. It looks almost like a political movement except with less things considered. I see nothing wrong with it except the ideas are nothing new and they don't seem to offer new solutions. The implementation is very unclear, full of blanks and very much left to interpretation. I have nothing in particular to say about it, it's a nice idea, that's it. It seems mostly to be most pationately aimed at aesthetics of housing, redesigning society aesthetically. To me it just looks like someone's fantasy world and idealist utopia that they want to single-handedly design. I have nothing in particular to say about this except that I have no reason to trust these people to lead our future and.. it's amazing how much a simple idea can sell. Any one of us could have come up with this future in like 5 minutes. There's nothing to it, it has no meat.

It looks like a black money hole. It's unclear what your donations to the venus project actually go towards.. they say it goes to promoting the idea but says nothing about money being used for actual implementation. They sell books and dvds, what else do they actually do? They're selling their "research centre" for a mere 500,000$. It's just some dudes design of a futuristic village. That has nothing to do with world peace. I don't need no Jetson's house.

So yeah I've wasted too much time doing research over things I already know are fake for the sake of people who keep telling me to watch it. It's quite redundant for me but I'm real tired of hearing about zeitgeist and seeing it on ppl's computers. So tempting to delete or relabel "garbage".
I'm feeling bored right now..

be it true or not, I don't base my life on any "truth", I just like to get the different sides of a medal since as I said, if one man can think of it, another one can do it.

Had the idea of a city in the sea a few years back and the one that project venus explains (be it true or not again) is based on mostly on the same logic conclusions I went true.

I'm glad for the info though moondancer, I think I'll go research theguy a bit !
