| acctually, the funny thing is... i think they're all asians...
but anyways, yeah the first band usually do always suck although last nin show in mtl was uber-dope with death from above 1979... not much of a fan of queens of the stone age but they gave a good show though...
nin also toured with saul williams which i really like... I'm sure that was a killer first act...
I'd like the idea of a dj as a first act... that way you're sure not to have decent sound... virtually no need for soundchecks... and its much easier for a dj to adapt to a crowd than a band |

| they got me curious to check out their studio work... especially with the last track they played... very stoner rock-ish... kinda felt a vibe close to godspeed you black emperor...
but the rest of the show... honnestly I couldnt hear shit... 0 bass, the mids are all mixed together into this distorted rumble, you could hardly make out the snare drum... once in a while you could hear a blazing guitar solo on top of that distorted rumble... but anyways... the guys did look very very passionate (especially the drummer) which I think is awesome |
