 Coolness: 76760 | I've personally been playing a game with myself to see how long it takes to find quarters. I find them regularly at strange times. My fixation used to be on finding triple numbers or the number 23 and I used to have such regular occurrences of both syncing up with weirdly appropriate events. Every triple number is listed in Aleister Crowley's 777 as being significant mostly to different demons, 333 for instance being associated with CHRNZN, demon of deception, hallucination, and lies. 23 is just supposedly another form of the law of fives, 2+3=5 hence it has sort of the same significance, but in the I Ching it represents "Falling Apart". Similarly 23 has always been a weird number for anarchists and other people toppling towers or systems, and could be considered the number of entropy to a certain extent. The quarter thing, however, has been way tougher. I've been having a hard time convincing myself it could work. Hence I don't find too many. I got the idea from the first chapter of "Prometheus Rising" by R.A.Wilson, a book everyone should read in my opinion. But damn, why can't I convince myself money could just show up? I could use an errant $50. |

I also found a wallet once and kept the wallet and gave the id to a friend who needed a fake id... There was only like 3$ in it and only one card (the id) and an expired bus pass. |

After day seven of 1 meal a day, and walking back and forth from Guy to St Denis to get back and forth from my new job, and working 12 hour days cuz I had nuthin better to do with my time, on day 7, I was in a phone booth on Guy, and low and behold someone had left their wallet on top of the phone, with $200 american in it, and another $50 canadian. Great thing was, I had like a $220 debt to one of my boys in Toronto for an ounce he fronted me before I left. Man that day I ate a great meal, felt quite content to buy a pack of smokes, take the metro, quickly paid off my friend, and next day my final paycheck from Toronto was deposited to my account. I did mail the wallet with all the id and credit cards back to the poor sap that lost it hehehe |
