i mean it surely is easier to find a location for a smaller party but i still think it could be totally worth it because you'll get a much higher turnout |

think about it: alone, lets say 200 ppl come to each party (for the sake of example only, i have no idea what turnout is planned) then both parties will make 2k each. now lets say they merge... u get people who were about to come to each party for the DJs, and MORE people cuz the party is big and more of an "event" than a small party.. so we got the original 400, plus lets say 100 more (probably more).. that makes 500 peeps. cuz the party is big u can make the ticket at least 15 (15 is GOOD PRICE for a party such as this, so u could charge more, but lets even say its 15). 15 x 500 = 7,500 thats 3,750 CDN per promoter group that organizes eaCH room, if split half-half. 3750 is much more than 2000 so the promoters win partiers get to have a choice between selektahs for only 5 bux more per ticket, so partiers win DJs get to work together instead of telling people "come see me" and having this whole "you didnt show up so u like others better" thing... i know alot of ppl are chill with that.. but its hanging in the air regardless... so one bigger party = DJs win too sure u can say bigger venue will cost more but dont forget u also split costs so u economize. so even the promoters' accountant wins. everyone wins. |

trust me (and him) when we say we ve tried to coordinate big 2 room events, people dont really want to make an effort to work together, its very difficult to find a nice 2 room venue, but as the math shows (see Ze ev post), its more about organizing and gettin a bigass room anyways, i doubt theyll organize an event during our next iDJ, but if yes, then the fan will be hit by some shit |
