what i dislike about it,it's soooooo repetitive.AC Slater put a dubstep track the other day between 2 electro track and i found it the shit! but 1 hour or more of that style is really boring.Chef the other day at vinyl was just doing rewind ,and rewind and i felt like if it was 2 hours of a same track coming back again and again.Sorry.I tried to like it,but really ,i find ,like strik-IX said before,it's not *dancefloor* stuff.1 or 2 track well placed between a dnb, electro or wtv kind you want can sound dope, but not only that.

Thank you and have a nice day
I'm feeling freak in us right now..

I agree with Strik-IX as well on this. It sounds to me like D&B for k-tards or disabled people who have a hard time dancing to music beyond 150 bpm.

IMO IMO IMO....you get the idea. :)

KUMA... BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I HEARD THAT NAME. I THINK I MET UP WITH HIM WHEN 'SNARES AND I PLAYED VANCOUVER IN '01... INTERESTING GUY. WE HAD SIMILAR MUSICAL INTERESTS/BACKGROUNDS... KEPT IN TOUCH FOR A WHILE, BUT LOST CONTACT OVER THE YEARS. CHECKING HIS STUFF OUT RIGHT NOW... SOUNDS GOOD. HAS A NICE ELEMENT OF MENACE AND DISSONANCE TO IT.
ORIGINALLY POSTED BY RAWALI AND LIKE I SAID... MONTREAL MCS SPITTING ABOUT HOW THEY DIG JUNIOR SPESH WOULD BE FUCKING DUMB... MAYBE IT WOULDNT BE CALLED GRIME ANYMORE... BUT ITD BE NICE TO GIVE A NICE KICK IN THE ASS TO THE MONTREAL RAP SCENE AND GET ORIGINAL PRODUCTION FOR MCS THEM TO RHYME ON
MCS CAN BE A TOUGH SELL... IN MY EXPERIENCE A LOT OF THEM COME FROM A HIP HOP BACKGROUND AND FEEL THE NEED TO BE ON THE MIC ALL THE TIME, RATHER THAN FUNCTIONING AS AN ACCENT ON THE PROCEEDINGS. THERE SEEMS TO BE A FEELING THAT THEY'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING UNLESS THEY'RE TALKING, AND IT CAN ULTIMATELY DETRACT FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF LISTENING TO A GOOD DJ. I DON'T REALLY KNOW ANY OF THE LOCAL MCS, SO DON'T GET THE FEELING I'M POINTING FINGERS AT ANYONE... MY OPINION WAS FORMED YEARS AGO BY MCS OUT WEST AND ALL OVER THE US.

i agree with this a lot, sometimes i just want to tell the mc to SHUT UP. but if you do that then you re a dick cause he's just trying to practice his shit, i just feel like most MCs most of the time don't add anything to the experience and they just kill my high, that's not to say it can't be done right but it so rarely is. The first step i think we all can agree is turn down the mic, seriously why does the shitty MC get to be louder than the good tunes?
I'm feeling surly right now..

agreed on the too much talking pon d microphone bizniz...

unless they are mad talented and it is a genre that is designed to have full-on MCs on it all the time (i.e. hiphop, dancehall). .. -> i think the best situation is when the DJ is also the MC.. at least they know when not to take away from the flow of the tracks, and when and where to occasionally hype up the mix and d crowd. .. unfortunately a skilled MC-DJ hybrid is a rare breed indeed
I'm feeling feelings right now..

... so whats up with "funky" anyway?
i dont know to much about it... benga's last album seems like it might fall under this category... maybe that skepta tchune "stage show riddim" as well.

from what i can tell it seems to encompas the faster sounding, housier rythms and more broken compositions... can i get a two cents on this one?
I'm feeling misty right now..

Camel Toe by Hawerchuck is pure funk brilliance... horns, broken beats and sweet, sweet bass. Came out on Mu before they really jumped into the style, and it seems like pretty much everybody slept on it.

It wasn't the only style... and it probably wasn't the best. Sure there were people that took to the decks and the microphone at the same time... but most people focused on one or the other in order to specialize.
