i'm a huge fan of allen and heath mixers...
but i'd beg to differ on the fader front. i have busted a few of the vca cross faders they put on the xones. but if you upgrade the fader to the "pro x-fade" or a penny and gilles your rockin' and rollin'. but yeah the only thing i find moderately cool about the pioneer mixers is that fader start automation stuff you can do with cdjs.

on the other hand, how much would it be to fix a DJM300? My headphone jack gives me feedback :\

I don't think it would be too much if it's just the headphone jack

prolly not, but you know how it is... even the simplest repair + time + *insert BS reason here* ends up being like 4 times the cost of a new one

maybe u could try openning it up, and sawder on a new piece or wtv.....i dunno, something i would do to a cd player or wtv, but a pioneer mixer, maybe i would be comfortable fiddling around inside it...

I got my old 500 repaired.. the thing with pioneer is that they don't have any service here in Montreal so all repairs must be shipped to Toronto (shipping costs a few bucks)..
for a clean-up and a few minor repairs it cost me like 280$'s !! they did a decent job though !! :) i went to MOOG to get it done !!

I bought the Pioneer 600 brand new in summer 2000 for $2450.00 after tax that's expensive but it's lasted everyday heavy use at home and out at clubs since then - close to 8 years now great mixer, IMO but the one thing that started fucking up recently is the headphone jack crackles when you first turn the volume up - def. need to get that fixed. everything else works fine - thoughif I get it repaired i'll get a new fader while I'm at it just to be safe so ya I was curious how much that would cost - should have taken care of it while I was still in Toronto .. |

^^^
serious! i don't regret it all - the effects and sampler on it are great too - in 2000 it was def. a top of the line club mixer my first mixer was one of those 3 channel purple Numarks with the kill buttons - cost about 400 and within a year or so had major problems with the channels and fader |

That's just the potentiometer that's dirty.. Should take you 10 minutes to fix if you've got a soldering iron, counting the time it'll take to take the mixer apart.
