He gave Screwhead an explanation through MSN. About a party that 100+ people were attending. A promoter NEEDS to give people information if he wants to be successful.

Right now he's really hurting his chances of people believing his next event.

Losing a job ain't cool but neither is losing his face. That, he can easily remedy. It takes one minute to write "due to uncontrollable events, I'm unable to set the rave for the 9th. I'm really sorry."

It's a matter of RESPECT.

I have been to his events even when he failed to bring the headliners that SOLD the tickets (I seriously doubt that as many tickets would have been sold had he told everyone from the start "I'm not going to have Radium and Speedfreak at STUV"). Even if it was mostly local. Because (and even then I see he didn't bring the news himself and had someone else do it) it was said prior to the event.

Now we're Wednesday, The event was supposed to be Saturday. That reeks of him not giving two shits about the people he plans a rave for. If he comes and explains/apologizes, I'll be the first one to back him up. Until then, sorry, people will bitch.

And please, stop with the "it was his birthday" comments. If it was indeed only about a birthday, he wouldn't have tried to sell this rave to everyone since last October.
I'm feeling 'sploded right now..

Heille!

I'm feeling ya right now..

I'm feeling 'sploded right now..

T'as pas tord.

Old school law.

I'm feeling ya right now..

Some are made to be good promoters and some aren't.

drixel, no one as bought tickets cause there were no tickets on sale. to be honnest, it is the first time i can come on the website and talk. i screwed the party, true. i screwed my contacts, etc . but, the thing is that, loosing 2 month of presale because you're desperatly trying to get ahold of the guy who's supposed to have given you the full flyer and ticket on the expected date doesn't help you. but, that is not the biggest problem cause i could've done like i did with dubcomm who did the flyer you've all seen. the problem is that when you lose 2 month of presale and on top of that, you end up in effin jail for unpaid fine, wich is not something bad to society, and lose you're goddamn job cause of all this and has to sell your guitar and amp to eat....it is not a time to throw a party. sure i could've try to say it before, i couldnt reach every dj to tell them the situation but what is done is done. think whatever you want about what i just said. you can think it isnt true, i don't care. i ain't an effin promoter and judt realised it with this happening....i ll concentrate my effort on being a dj and that is all....

to end this, i am sorry for what happened with this, sorry the way it had to end, i screwed up, what i said doesn't really excuses the unprofessional way i managed all of this but for me, it was too much...

Dude, props on shouldering your responsibility on that one, or at least facing the damage done.
Everything else has probably already been said before.
