I've had a very bad experience with Le Chill when playing for a friend's event almost 2 years ago [ rave.ca ] The people that run the joint are the most close-minded hippies I've ever met in my life. "Hardcore ain't music"? Fuck you Vartan. Who are you to tell me what is right from wrong when you obviously can't realize that raising children in such an environment is unacceptable. Don't get me wrong... I like for what Le Chill stands for ("Espace de création et de diffusion artistique") but I just can't stand the spacecadets running the place. And don't get me started on CyberLoft... |

 Coolness: 226260 | Been there a few times, like a few years back. Used to be okay till I realised the couches were crunchy, and that the exhaust fumes from the garage invariably gave me a hardocre headache.
That and the amount of passed out underage chicks beeing "tended" to... Anyhow, I say chill was swell, but the swelling's gone down. Only time I actually tough it was okay is when I had the whole place to myself at mah b-day like 2 years ago. my two cents. |

 Coolness: 152990 | i went to chill once, i stayed for like 45 min, sound was really bad, this guy was mixing psy cd allready mixed, and there were some hippies sleeping right in the middle of the floor, and everywhere on the couches, and the others were so high on crack or whatever, they were all yelling and being rude.
that is all i know about le chill, it is not a "chill" place ... but thats a couple years ago |

Now, the sound has gotten better (or maybe the promotor rented sound that night, i dunno), the Dj gear has improved aslo, but i am sure those sofa's have not been washed since they opened the place. Its not sanitary at all, its small and its far far out off st-laurent. Its a place if you want 35 of your close friends in the same place.. nice ?? well, depends what nice means.. i'm nice sometimes but i'd rather hang with honest people than nice one's !! |
