I heard this story about a guy who had a near death experience, where he saw the docter operating on him and when he came back to life, he knew the serial number of the fan in the room, that the only way anyone can read the number is with a ladder.

that's interesting but i'm kinda skeptical. if you were having a near death experience, why would you care to memorize the serial number on a fan?

it's not freaky...it's natural...people just don't want to believe...

by natural i mean it can happen to anybody

still very cool..i've heard about many out of body experiences, experienced one

Dowsing, remote healing, astral voyaging...it's all possible....people will only believe when it happens to them.

I saw a study one time that suggested that the more educated a person was, the less likely they would believe in the supernatural.

that's probably because education=brainwashing.

...unless you go to a school that promotes free thought, not "this is right because it's in a book, your thoughts are wrong because they aren't"

It great to have a bunch of facts to spew out concerning a specific topic but to understand ourselves, life, humanity, the universe is more important...at least to me.

What's the difference between memorizing the periodic table or the batting percentages of every baseball player that ever lived?

They are both the same....only applicable under specific circumstances...

Free thought = true knowledge

no the actual "facts" that were stuffed down our throats...do you really believe history went down like they told us?

...and college....and university were the same..Concordia was a bit more openminded (depending on the prof) but still....
