i love the original. i think it's an awesome movie. i'm a carpenter;s fan and i was really happy that zombie re-write it and directed it. i'm very currious. i'll see if i like it tonight. zombie 2 first movie's were excellent hommage of different genre. not a genius but a kind of tarantion more extreme haha.

yeah, looks really good, but different from Zombie's other 2 films...looks more "psychological", but then again the ads on tv might be deceiving...I can't wait to see it...

na/.... :)

the ads on tv have to be for all ages! from the interview i read he made it more gory ... something interesting is that zombie says that he wanted to change the light alot...one of the thing i really love of the movie but i remember when i was kid i just wanted to see more of the action..hehe also it's suposed to enlight us about the motives of micheal and we are witness more of the first murder..
i wonder if they gonna follow the plot of the 4th of the serie that tell that micheal babysitter is in a waky cult...
soon i'll know

ps: haha na i miss watching movies with u!

have you watched zodiac since last time we talk?

I watched the workprint copy that got leaked.. Aparently the ending is diffrent on the theater release, and 6 scenes were re-shot (more gore for deaths and one rape taken out) but holy FUCK did I like it.

It's actually not really all that psychological.. I like what he did, but he could have made it longer.. Essentially, he adds in the why and how of Michael's first kill and a bit of his stay in the asylum, and then tries to compress the original Halloween into about 45 minutes.. So there's a lot of tension that's gone, a lot of scenes feel kinda rushed, and you don't really get to develop any liking for the characters...

But on the plus side, this is the best portrayal of Michael Myers ever. He's really a MONSTER, in how large and intimidating he is (gotta be over 7 feet tall) and how absolutely brutal and violent he is.
I'm feeling warcracktastic right now..

You mean, the Crispin Glover/ Jeffrey Combs movie is being remade? I missed my chance to see it at Fantasia... :( I'm ashamed of calling myself a diehard Combs fan, now.

I missed most of it, actually. I don't enjoy the television very much. The last series I've followed in years is Heroes.

And well, Futurama. I've watched nothing else, really.

Movies are something entirely different.

I've seen moments with him, though. On Star Trek, too.

The 4400 is an amazing serries.. You really gotta watch all of them though, it's not something that's too easy to just jump into..

If it wasn't for Heroes, The 4400 would be the best show on TV..

Tell me the difference between Michael and Jason please?
As a kid, i like Jason better 'casue well... he had a machete to Mikey's kitchen knife. Plus the hockey mask is more appealing.

i always prefer halloween... well the first part and the second...

if we putt aside the superior cinematographique qualities of halloween over friday the 13...

i also prefer micheal...

he is the pure evil. not jason. jason was a innocent child with an insane mother... micheal is born evil.. but with the remake it show that micheal's problem was more a social inadequate family..haha

as a kid for sure an axe can be more imposant but i think the kitchen knife scared me the most... every house have a big kitchen knife but not an axe..

ps: but jason killed kevin bacon. that's pretty cool i have to admit..haha

Jason only had a hockey mask starting in the third movie, though. He was wearing a potato sack prior to that.
