That's what I thought first but I realized that this way is more eco-friendly, encouraging people to co-travel or use the bus.

Ah-gree. If someone has it, please post it! I have some crazy music on the videos I took. I just want to know who it was.
I'm feeling psychédélicieux right now..

I'm feeling summertime foolin' right now..

I really had a blast at this one !!

Arrived on the site saturday afternoon and was directed to my parking/campout area (it was really great to have the option to reserve a parking spot closer to the dancefloor) and we were quickly surrounded by smiles. Our "neighbours" were very nice and friendly and kickstarted our great weekend.

Shortly after setting up our tent and camping gear, i met up with lots of friends for chatting and fun.. Thanks to Mel + Luc for there open-arms under there cuba-cube (cool trees he he) .

There was no music as we arrived apart from someone playing in the chillout area (i wish he would have stopped playing with his volume levels) playing Influx and some other prog tunes. I would have liked more prog/house in the afternoon but i guess people need a rest some times.

At around, what was it, 3-4 pm, the rain started. It was all laughs for now with the hope it would like 30 minutes.. a few hours pass and my girlfriend tells us our tent is raining so i run to see the situation. as she said, the tent was a mess. Even with our "anti-rain thingy" water still dripped down from our top and all over our stuff in the tent. We moved all our gear back to the car (thank the lord it was only a few feet away).

The rain kept coming down as the music slowly picked up again. I heard FM radio gods from afar and was tempted to run to the dancefloor but the mud kept me away (yeah yeah) .. As Metalogic started up, the rain had cleared and my attempt to the mainstage began. It was a squish experiance and i made it half way down until the rain started up again as i seeked shelter at the Karma Jewels kiosque.

I have to admit, the rain was starting to piss me off and really sucked out all the energy i had absorbed before it started. It mad me very sad and i only wanted to go to sleep as i was "missing" my favorite acts of this year's festival. "Bahh well", i told myself as i went back to the car and tucked myself into the trunk to get some sleep in hopes that the rain would clear for Mr.Monro in the morning.

FINALLY, the rain clears as i awake around 7am. it wasn't sunny yet but i got out of the car and cracked a beer as i met Nhan and the party started. After breakfest i met up with more friends and went towards the floor. It was great to finally see everyone and talk with them.

James's extended Dj set was just awsome (some people said LIVE ??) as he played many of my favorite tunes and his technique was great. Long long mixes, lots of cuts and PERFECT track selection. I was really surprised he played some Stephan Bodzin about half way through. The sun made its return durring his set and everyone started to cook. What a perfect day it was sunday.. everyone seemed so happy to be together it was great..

Super special thanks to everyone involved, Techsafari crew.. EVERYONE !!!

Things i really liked this year :
- closer to home location (yeah, last year's location was pretty, but i was there for the party, not the grass)
- Option to pre-pay and reserve motorised camping area's where we could park our car next to our tents.
- Line-up was very diverse and complete.
- Lots of security guards to protect us (i saw many people badtripping on too much dope and thank god there was always someone to "take care" of those one's .. THANK GOD they limited access to the site.. can you imagine someone getting lost in the mountain on too much dope. that's all we need is to find dead body's three weeks later).
- Beer, beer and more BEER !!
- lots of smiles (as usual)

Things that were different and possibly less appealing than last year :
- the lake didn't inspire me as much.
- rain, rain and more RAIN.
- Rain prevented me from drinking too much (damn you rain)
- Tegma on friday

HUGE congrats to the whole team for putting all this together. I am more than looking forward to next years gathering !! Long live ECLIPSE !!!

p.s. my suggestion : put the Dj sets on friday and keep all the live's for saturday night.. Very Happy

P.S. I ATE THE BACON !!!
I'm feeling tiesto ??? :p right now..

I'm feeling symbiotic with music right now..

I had an awesome time and really wish I could have stayed longer. In another way I'm kinda glad I missed the mud, without a tent and proper change of clothes I can easily see how it all could have transpired somewhat nightmarishly... Although I must admit it looked like fun based on the pics posted... Next time I'll try to come better prepared for a good'ol romp around in the mud with the tribe.
Props to Tech Safari for pulling it off once again like pros, and props to all the local and international artists and dj's who put it all on the line time and time again so everyone could have a good time, that is TRUELY what its all about. The time and effort put into such performances is simply unbelievable all round be it promoter, vj, dj or live act, its always an awesome sight to see hundreds if not thousands of people gettin' down to it all with huge smiles on their faces dancing like theres no tomorrow. There was a simply amazing crossection of styles all night that really made the whole experience much more fullfilling. I discovered all sorts of new music, some stuff I like more than others but overall its something inspiring that doesnt usually happen in these sorts of events and I must give a huge kudos the Tech Safari crew for putting it together in such a way and I honestly hope this will be the future trend.
Big thanks to Dj Horizon for saving our asses in a monumental way. For some reason Ableton wouldnt detect our soundcard last minute and Greg in true gentlemanly fashion was kind enough to extend his dj set by 3 tracks, the time it took to sort our issues... we owe you one, here here!
Its always a trip to hook up with old friends and make new ones at Eclipse, although it happens all year round in everyday life, this particular festival seems to have a major catalystic effect I really appreciate on many levels and this year was no exception. SO on that note, big hugz to one and all, and once again, BIG PROPS and long live Tech Safari! peace -K
