| '96 Wisconsin... I was there... sleeping... in a small tent, about 100 yards from the mainstage. Sad, but true. I left Winnipeg early on Friday morning - got to Milwaukee in the middle of the afternoon, then rode out to Furthur in the evening. We got out there around midnight... somehow managed to stay up all night Friday, all day Saturday... and then crashed out about an hour before Daft Punk played... woke up just in time for Deadly Buda's hardcore set at 6am.
Easily one of the best parties ever. I remember running into Deadbeat and Mike Shannon... and seeing Mark Verbos play an acid set that is still the best live performance I've seen. It was a very intense weekend. |
