Saying you are crazy is dangerous, because though it's true, we are all crazy in our own right, but when you say something, people believe you and someone who doesn't think THEY are crazy will take it the wrong way and think you're crazy.
I'm feeling pure evil jadedness. right now..

I think saying I'm crazy makes people less likely to think I'm crazy cause at least when I start acting weird they'll know I'm aware that I'm crazy and when you actually know your crazy you're okay, you can establish a certain amount of control. A crazy person who doesn't know they're crazy is just freaky and dillusional.

Emotionally and psychologically imbalanced is everyone, just look around this site. Guys are just less likely to admit it to themselves.
I'm feeling hungava right now..

I disagree. I've known a few clinically ill people in my time (I've worked with mentally and physically imparied children at camps & hopitals), and knowing their condition doesn't alway help make it better. Yes, there's certainly something to be said for self-awareness (it does tend to help) but simply knowing one is bipolar or schizophrenic doesn't make the condition go away. Some mental disorders are purely biochemical.

That being said, I do think there are some people out there that do need to own up and take responsibility for thier mood swings, temper tamtruns, ect. I merely wanted to point out that this isn't always the case. Mental instability is much, much more complicated then most people realize.
I'm feeling mutable right now..

I dunno what you disagree with because I never suggested that knowing your crazy would cure you, then you would automatically not be crazy at all if you knew it which is a complete contradiciton in itself. However, knowing when one is crazy changes ALOT, even if you can't control it it changes the way one would interact with the world around them ALOT.

thing is though Sofia, you're not crazy... neither am I or Maery...
eccentric maybe but clinically we're all quite sane...
All I was suggesting is that if you say something like 'i'm stupid' or 'I'm crazy' or 'I raped three young circus acrobats', you put these notions into people's minds mind and created doubt. You can say 'I am the lord Jesus Christ' and sure no one will believe you, but they won't be 100% sure that YOU don't believe it, wherein lies the doubt. So, it's just a matter of being careful, being confidant, and watching what you say based on who's around you... or something

yeah.. from my particular perspective though, when someone says their crazy, they usually aren't and when they say they're not, they usually are. That's just my experience with mostly non-clinically insane people. So in other words if you tell me that you're crazy I would assume you are that much less crazy.

Good to know... but you're not one of those stuck up people who consider themselves completely sane, you fall into the category of people who figure things out for themselves and actually, dare I say, THINK for themselves..
