That still doesn't explain why we don't have fingerprint scanning and 16:9 displays. Their phones ARE way ahead. You guys are just stubborn.
I'm feeling hungava right now..

It's not stubbornness, I just don't get convinced by stupid statements with no backing.

I often change my opinion of something given sufficient evidence.

As for fingerprint scanning, has it occured to you that it might not be something people want? or perhaps it's just a crappy feature?

16:9 displays are useless unless you're watching movies on the phone. Given that there's no phone with more than 4-8GB of disk space, such a feature would be pointless.
I'm feeling you up right now..

Those are decent points... personally I would never watch a movie on my phone, all i want is music and... a phone so I personally don't care about 16:9 displays, besides, you can crop anything you want to 16:9 so phones are perfectly capable of doing it just like banana peels are perfectly capable of making people slip, the functionality is there but no one wants it.

Finger print scanners... like this one [ www.eyenetwatch.com ]
or these ones [ www.nextag.com ]
are useless. A 4 character password is harder to break.

Think of it practically, what if you burn the finger you used, you can't ever unlock your phone again? There's simply no reason to put an expensive capability that is utterly flawed and practically unpractical.
AND again, it's all in the software, the hardware can do all of this, but it doesn't, because no one wants it. Japan is famous for having every single product conceivable, that doesn't mean they work properly or are profitable in any way.

A good comparison, flying cars exist, but they would be illegal to fly and over 150 thousand dollars. The technology is there but not the demand is'all.
