big room, lots and lots of people but not jampack, fucking great music, and LIGHTS yeah there was FUKING LASERS AND SPOTLIGHTS MOVING ALL AROUND seems like it DOES NOT exist in rave in montreal... 3 blacklight in the whole room is really not enough you montreal promoters! =P and headliners ... yeah we do have good dj in montreal ... but we are not headliners... i see party that charges 30 $ for a line up full of locals... cmon! and by headliner im not meaning djs from other cities, im meaning europe and asia people like heaven7/euphoria(vagabond)/gammer/na-goya/tommyknocker/the viper... you know what im talking about! my 2 cents |

 Coolness: 144895 | Antonin, les raves ne sont plus aussi populaires qu'avant. Je peux dire que côté freeform/hhc, je doute fort qu'il y ait suffisament d'intéret comme c'est là pour faire venir des gros noms d'europe. À part pour le psy, et peut être le hardcore français, y'a pas vraiment de style de musique "rave" qui soit assez populaire pour justifier des gros noms a Montréal, présentement. Je ne dis pas que c'est la fin, chaque style a son heure de gloire. Perdre gros du cash est jamais le fun, et le risque que sa arrive avec un dj d'europe est assez élevé. |

je suis totalement conscient que ya pu une asser grosse scene hardcore a montreal, mais je dit pas non plus de faire des rave juste hardcore, moi jaime la diversitée dans la musique, jaime ca quand ya un peut de tout, et jai nommer des headliner hardcore car cest ca qui me vien en tete en premier lieu, mais yen a dautre de dautre genre, tout sque je voit ces temps si c des raves psy... jaime pas le psy plus qui faut, mais si je ferait un party, jen metterais sans aucun doute dans mon line-up... mais je croit que la scene psy est grosse mais tres isolée car les party psy on tres tres rarement dautres genre de musique, contrairement au party d'auparavent... et ouais simon, scream etais malade mais ca ca commente a etre "back in the days"... des party comme ca yen aura presque plus sinon plus du tout... i miss psychofrogg! |

Being sober most of the night, I like to know that if I suddenly get massively tired that I can find a giant bean bag like at Gravity. Or alteast... have chairs lying around so that people can sit down on them as opposed to the floor. |

| Coolness: 144895 | Deadfunk, t'as raison. En fait, je penses que la quantité de party de qualité a un gros rôle à jouer. Avant, on avait droit a au moins 2 bons partys par mois. Asteure, les évènement intéressants se font de plus en plus rare. Le jour où on va avoir plus de promoteurs serieux et dédiés, la scene va pouvoir grossir et on va pouvoir faire venir des headliners. C'est l'impression que j'ai.
Peter, you're right. Having place to sit down confortably can really make a difference at a party. I rave sober too, and I always need to relax at some point during the night. I'd place the chillroom in the "little things that make a difference" category, that I mentioned in one of my earlier posts. |

Actually I gotta give props to Akikido for ouija, the deco was really cool, only problem with that rave was there seariously wasn't enough of a turn-out. Time Machine was sick really a great rave. We need more cool ideas like this. Honestly though, I find we have a lot of good high-quality raves here. Montreal is known for having a sick night-life. We need to pat ourselfs on the back. |

| Coolness: 144895 | Ryan, I think Union française can't be rented anymore. I've heard they didn't get paid or had smilar fuck ups with other promoters that made them stop renting. It sucks, the place was really nice. |
