En tk, les fois que j'ai été, genre quelque semaines après l'entré en vigueur de la loi, le monde se fesait courir après par la sécurité pour pas qu'ils fument. Le gérant, Jean-Fred, m'a expliqué qu'il n'avait rien à foutre que le monde chiale, il doit respecter la loi. S'il a changé de politique, c'est possible, mais moi je vais continuer de respecter la loi dans mes évènements... |

In regards to the promoter acting as a "protector" to prevent any of the people downstairs from getting a ticket. From what I understand from the smoking ban law mentions that the venue's owner was facing a possible 4 000$ to 10 000$ fine and the actual smoker something from 50$ to 150$. It's only agreeable to understand that nobody who haves a head on their shoulder would have smoked a fag in plain sight AFTER they would have already been warned of the police's presence. With the amount of people being held downstairs, the only way to get a ticket is if they actually see you smoke. So this "protecting" image ain't cutting it for me. It's very easy to say "we did this for you" but when you look closely, this doesn't apply at all. It seems people are playing dumb to the actual problem. The promoters & Steph would have been in way deeper shit if the cops would have noticed people downstairs in the first place. Not only would he have faced possible fines for the smoking ban law but he would have made passed as a total liar to the officer's eyes every single other times they would meet. Second, it looks like the promoters are trying to put this all on the owner's back. Sure. It was his idea - I'll give you that. But you rented the venue and no matter how you may wish to twist this around, you're still responsible of what happened in YOUR party. Tazz. Pauvre Tazz. Non mais vraiment... de la à espérer qu'une telle situation ce reproduise dans un des futures parties à Tipsy (ce que je vois aucunement comment cela pourrais bien arriver.) pas trop "PLUR" de ta part han? Last but not least, I hope y'all understand how all this shit could have been very easily avoidable if you would have let everyone smoke outside. It's been done before in parties with WAY more people attending and the cops didn't bust anything. I've said what needed to be said. Hopefully this will never happen again. Cheers. |
