Yeah ok, has anyone ever asked how much taxes go into the government from cigarette sales. Remember that smokers pay taxes too. Last time I checked, smokes are like 65% taxes. The average dying smoker has more than covered his medical expenses when he reaches that point.

I tried making that point over dinner with a non-smoker friend who was insisting on getting my opinion but yeah all I got was "What right do you have to talk, you're a smoker." What the fuck, is this the new racism? hahaha.

Here's a summary, secretary at your service.

Anyway I agree. I don't beleive that medical bullcrap cause if it was the case they wouldn't be selling cigarettes. And it doesn't add up at all, how many people have lung cancer and how many people are buying a pack of smokes in one measely day?

I also know for a fact that before my boyfriend got private insurance, the gov't sent us a slip/bill for 4hundred sum dollers for medicare(because he isnt a low-income worker). Now since we have insurance (private) we dont pay the gov't anymore.
nothings free, not even medicare.

All I can say is that there was a reason bars / clubs allowed smoking. They could have made there establishment non-smoking if they wanted to... there's a reason it wasn't.

wtv, I smoke, I know that it is a noxious substance, and I am polluting others with my lifestyle choice. I've had a free ride for a while, and my right to ingest tobacco smoke, and pollute myself does not superced the rights of those around me that don't opt to inhale a noxious substance.
Cigarettes will not be banned, for all the reasons that you've mentioned, for the same reason that petroleum based cars will never be outright banned, they are a cash cow for the gov't.
But a start is a start, and whatever stats you can throw out doesn't change the fact that it is a dangerous unhealthy substanc.....imo

On that note, bring on the bitchslap carlos, i got a size 9 boot ready to go straight up your mexican ass. Beyotch! (pssst its all love bro)

since i am not a huge bar fan i have yet to stand on the street having a smoke in front or bar or rave.

As for eating out i mostly sat in the non smoking area before the law came in effect ..so nothing new there

The law gives rights to non smokers by giving them a better choice.

We all know that smoking is bad for you and others

As a courier i hate thos smoking smoke contaniers near the front of buildings...they smell so much!!!!!!!

non smokers always had a better choice. Now it's smokers who don't have a choice. It's ridiculous that they can't even have designated smoking rooms.

You dont really get used to it, almost every party I go to in Ottawa and Toronto the smokers are all outside or on the patios, It sucks when half the party or more is all outside, but at the same time its not so bad not being surrounded by smoke every time your at a show/bar.

J'ai vu ça vendredi à Hard As Fuck, c'était pathétique...

Big League Chew was the best gum ever. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, ever made bubbles that big. I once chewed a whole pack and made a bubble that, once it popped, I needed a new shirt and a haircut.
