If you have nothing, does nothing qualify as something?

Trust me, an indian wouldn't just GIVE you an indian, he'd sell it to you. No taxes.

no, something qualifies as nothing, everything is nothing.

since abstraction is a concept and loneliness a feeling...my guess is that having nothing is still something...as long as you're aware of it...

but what if those concepts are nothing? Maybe everyone was wrong from the begining, it's not that things are, but that they are not.

Can you define nothing? Yes. So therefore nothing IS indeed something.

depends on the way you see life...like an half empty or half full glass...concepts are created from scratch...but still are necessary at some point to explain states we relate to...things always are, just depends if you decide to see them or not...meaning that nothingness is still a thing you can have if you decide to acknowledge it...

an empty set is definable but is actually nothing.

but the generality of the "something" term applies to ANYthing, which includes everything and nothing ; thus nothing is something.

and in the end i agree :)

abstraction is still something, even if you might not touch it.
and loneliness is far from being nothing, for at least 2 reasons :
1) as you said, it's a feeling, so it's a nonempty thing
2) even when you're alone you still do have yourself, which is an important thing (or many things, according to how you look at it)

i agree...but for me these two imply the fact thats theres a lack of definition or presence...so therefore...its very close to the point of having nothing...even tho theres something hehe

only my point of view

hmmm i guess we're coming to one of the most existential problem of most people : believing that a lack, as huge and painful it could be, is the same thing as void...

when you look to what you have instead of looking to what you lack (that you formerly had or that you wish to have), you look to positive things instead of negative ones... and your mood follows by :)

Yes.

Cause when were all dead, who are they gonna choose, whose gonna be left? The pimps and the hoes with nothing, and that's something!

nothing doesnt really exist.. you always have something if you have (la raison) if you dont have it, you dont care if you have something.. i think..

you dont' have anything
suppose you have no apples, can you say you have apples?
so if you have no thing (nothing) can you say you have something? no

nah, you're oversimplifying it.

it all depends if you define "nothing" as a sub-set of "things"..
