So how is the scene in Montreal? In Toronto its ALL about the House music. Personally I don't like a lot of house. I have a very selective taste for progressive house as I mainly mix progressive trance... is there much demand for any prog DJ's in MTL or is it all about the Psytrance?

im new here, but this board has a lot of hardcore, d&b...ect fans...the clubs are all about house here with an odd techno or trance event. Get a Sasha a Digweed or even Steve Porter and the house is packed.I personally like all styles, but i am a househead at heart with a weakness for the progressive trance...The only house i cant stand is the damn david morales gay parade diva house...

Really?? I thought it was all about the Psytrance in MTL... Toronto goes nuts for good house DJ's... When Sasha, Digweed and Steve Lawler come to town people go nuts.. my taste for house is limited to a dark dirty tribal or progressive house...

I'm no expert on the house scene in Montreal, but i'm pretty sure that there's plenty of house in Montreal.

There's House music pumping 3 nights a week (on average) out of Stereo and Circus.

There are plenty of clubs up and down the Main that play House music on random week nights, too.

... To give you a better idea, just take a quick peek at the Events Calendar for the past few months.

Yeah, I really don't like that place at all.
The first time I went to Circus was on the openning night when Pink Feria and Astral Projection were performing, and I thought the place was pretty banging!

But as time went by, the crowds began to dwindle and the sketch began to rise. Not to forget the semi-permanent ringing in my ears once I leave the place.

The onyl reason I would go there is if i'm still rolling after comming out Parking or if my friend gives me a free-ticket.

they draw regulars alot...no one dances and it is like 4 dudes to 1 chick...nothing but roxbury losers there.....that and the security always grabs your nutz when they search you and smile like it wuz candy they were holding...beware of the circus boogeyman...he will rape you if your not careful. I love Parking...especially when Misstress B gives da phunk.
