| From what I've read it seems that MDMA is neurotoxic, and even if used in small quantities over a long period of time it causes damage to the
serotonin receptors and brain cells. I'm not sure if these studies have been done on humans, or just rats and monkeys, but if applicative to humans, it means it would be condradictive as an anti-depressant, especially since it must be used over a long period of time. Any drug taken regularly can be highly addictive even if the addiction is not physical, for a lot of people it's hard to avoid the psychological impact of all of suddenly being without the thign that makes you happy, but there are anti-depressants out there, such as seroquil that require additional medication just to get over the addiction, I doubt that MDMA woudl be worse then that in terms of addiction. I don't know whether or not they have anti-depressants on the market that destroy serotonin receptors though it wouldn't surprise me. In any case rats and monkeys are as close to humans as it gets, even if we don't look like rats, they're the only animals, as far as I know, that we can give or catch a cold from, they have similar DNA. The probability is that if it works on a rat and a monkey it will do the same to us. |

The weird thing about this is that althoug I Read that its a neurotoxin I'll still want some.

| you know how on speed you feel like you can remember everthing sometimes? things come to you easily. Well, they did studies to show that chewing, like chewing a piece of gum, is supposed to improve your memory for the duration of the gum chewing at least. Wierd shit. |

| ok so when u chew your jaws cuz too twitched on speed you go wiser ??!! .....yeah right honey |

Coolness: 92295
| that's not what I said at all. I said chewing improves memory for the time being, thus being on speed can create a false image that it is improving your memory when in fact it is the chewing. Then again mayeb nto but it makes a lot of sense don't you think. Being wise and having good memory are about as far apart on the intelligence spectrum as you can get. |
