it has a small HD.
they are using misrosofts strategy, cause they don't have much of a choice, and they will not make any money this time around. They should have made a cheap machine so that they could get all the people who arent willing to spend as much on an xbox,. Microsoft idea was to eventually push the others out of the market with better machines so that they can eventually start making money but now the race continues and they could be losing money forever without the competition ever ending cause they both decided they have to be the best. If one of them was a little better then the other then it would work, but they are both better in different ways. |

powerpc is an IBM chip, apple just uses PPC's in their machines is all.
and the whole battle between sony and microsoft is stupid. microsoft is retarded for thinking they'd be able to just 'beat' sony like that. sony's a massive company with more money than microsoft..... :P why would they give up on a market that makes them so much money?? :P |

heh, competition indeed. but microsoft is fucked. sony could run them over like a steam roller if they really wanted to. just take a look at sony's income vs. microsoft's.. hell, sony could afford to give their box away for free just to smoosh MS.. haha |

Nintendo still makes some amazing games though. What other system are you gonna be able to play the next Zelda or Mario on? That right there gets Nintendo a huuuuuuuuuge share of the gaming industry.
Not everyone wants ultra-complicated 37 button controllers with a gazillion gameplay options. Some people just wanna load up Mario Kart and have FUN. |

I can never miss out on any of nintendo's systems just cause of metroid and zelda. Those games are back from the day when the quality of gameplay actually mattered though. Anyone who enjoys playing games doesn't really give a shit about these fancy specs in the end. The amount of options they have when makign games, added with a industry thats too big for itself and a new target audience means fuck anything new, original and addictive. This stupid technological competition is just taking emphasis off everythign important. At least what's important to people who will like a game no matter what it looks like. They're destroying a beautiful thing and they intend to continue doing so. |

btw, the killzone ps3 demo is rumored to be fake (pre-rendered) and not actual gameplay. Sony has done it before iwth the ps2. |

yeah, that vid is waaaaay too highly detailed to be in game.. i mean they spent more than 6 years developping Half-Life 2 engine (which looks amazing) and yet that killzone vid looks way better.. :P |

the problem with hl2 is that it is limited by pc architecture. A game could look like killzone with less effort (than hl2) on a machien designed for it. It was still too good to be true.
all those PC fans that always say PC > console have been right until next gen, when they will be wrong. Yes you will be able to upgrade your pc's vid card etc, but your pc wont have a physics chip, or skin chips, or stuff like that. |

hahahahahahaha
maaan, that is so not right. you think these games get developed on the console? they get made on a pc! computers will always be more advanced than a console simply because consoles are small versions of their computer counterparts.. sure a console might be more optimized for games, but their price limits them severely. |
