60 % of city urban planning is dedicated to accommodate vehicules. People should use smaller more efficent cars like hybrids. Also, if Montreal was a city "that never sleeps"*, we wouldn't have so many congestions and traffic jam.

*such as 24 hour open business; bank, food, retail, 3 8 hours work shift, etc...

What??..I kinda like the new design..im just wondering why they didnt do it that way before...have you ever run around that thing trying to get from the mountain to st-laurent?..its a frigggin nightmare...sidewalks that end in the middle of an [ overpass..ca ] whipping by doing 80 ..i say fill the fukker in and make is as newly retaded as possible. im sure people have died trying to cross that shit...

to get from the mountain to st lau is pretty easy too, you cross parc...go down the stairs...down the street...etc..etc.

Pedestrian friendly sounds good to me, encourages people to use cars less. Right now that intersection is a death trap for pedestrians.

If it's not worth driving, people will seek alternate, cleaner methods of transportation. Personally I take the bus and metro everywhere and I even live in the south shore, and I rarely get slowed down much by traffic.
