Are they some recent ones ?
I bought the entire collection up to Brain40, past that I stopped buying them cause they got weird and not as good.

I've got 10 of them, the highest one I have is 32 I think (I loooooove 31, Tinnitus)

hehe, i meant it in a positive way - i dont think it's a bad idea, but at the same time, it's not easy to get people to come out to something they are unaccustomed to.

Sometimes it is ez because it feels new and fresh, that is what i'm trying to gauge. Also, i do not think [ rave.ca ] users represent everyone out there, so i'm just asking to see the reaction here.

they definitely don't represent everyone.

Yeah promote it well, get a small venue and pack it out. Get the ball rolling, dont try to jump start it in a big 300 person venue, start small, 100 person loft styles and then see how it does, then grow from there. Hard as Fuck parties started at 100 people and look at us now, we're sleeping in a van down by the river!

Oh, and it's too bad you weren't talking about throwing an ***ACID*** party. That would be rockin.

hey smurf! how's it going man??

ya, acid party.. start small, see if the concept works, then work it up, i'd say

alternately, bring a big name to gravity with some key locals... but i can't really think of a big acid name nowadays that would really draw, honestly. as much as i love acid... dave the durmmer and the liberators have gone more into techno... geezer.. dj esp maybe, but even he doesn't make much acid anymore.. maybe dig up a legend from the past? hardfloor? heheheh

The last big acid party that i've throwed was Biological Project. There was an psy/trance room too but i've had approximatively 550 peoples.

If you want to do one, just make sure that your break even is reasonable and your tix are not too expensive!

// ANECTODE
Instant adrenaline.
// END ANECTODE

acid...

I would totally be there...!

its been so long since Ive been to a nice acid party!

I miss acid techno

and I have to agree that acid is pretty much dead everywhere...

even my 303 is pretty much unused, (not to mention unplugged)

/me slap himself

I'd just like to point out that its not the first party i'd be throwing, so i do know what to do, i triggered a discussion here just to get a glimpse of what other ppl thought. (mass reply to lots of private mails i got).

I'm currently looking for a room (100-200p) and a date (I will never throw a party same weekend as someone else, fyi). Once that is done, i will be looking into DJs.

tk..
