Cheating is still wrong but obsessing over how people look and thinking that is the only reason people have sex is pretty fucked up too. |

There was a huge war back in 500AD where most of the men where killed. Thus when the war was over there were virtually 3/4 of the women without husbands thus no protection. During that period women didn't have any rights in commerce just like other societies of the period. Women were caretakers and teachers primarily. There was then a decree that the men could take extra wives unto them, but had to love all the wives equally. It was more of a protection thing than anything else. *I am not agreeing with it, just explaining you what i learned* Now a days, it's pretty much non existant. In the Taliban it most likely occured a lot, because it waa dictatorship and there was a whole theme of refusal of womens rights by that regime. |

 Coolness: 56275 | I was cheated on by a boyfriend with someone "uglier"... She was like 70 lbs heavier then me.. and from what I knew of her, she had a relatively nasty character too.
But then again, everyone is uglier than me. lol. Cheating might be seen as a shallow act and it is to some degree. But if a person cheats, it doesn't necessarily make them shallow. It definately can and has been a blow to people's ego's to be dumped or cheated on by your so-called loved one with a person who is "uglier than you". It's hard not to care about a seemingly trivial thing like a person's looks especially when one is hurt by being cheated on. It would have bothered me just as much to (based purely on looks), if my boyfriend would have cheated on me with someone who was uglier or more beautiful. |

Relationships are all about structure and rules and as long as your relationship is setup in a way which allows for a bit of freedom from either partner you'll never really have that constant state of the game going on that make a relationship spicy.
