dan was vacationing on phucket island( which by the way is awsome) where he was , was not hit... only the 'chicken island 'was hit where i actually had a relative... that island was hit because it isnt as close to the inside or the shore if i may, as the other were, most of the small islands are surrounded by the larger one and are less likely to get hit... i have not heard from dan recently, but he doest not live remotely close to the shore... i have his number in bangkok, ill call him and give him regards from all of you , if thats alright :)... |

This has been quite a shock to me, as when the earthquake hit I was trekking in the mountains of northern thailand, so I didn't even find out until a few hours ago. I'm still trying to find out which areas were affected and whether anyone I know might have been there. Oh, and donating is a really excellent idea. |

| Coolness: 61905 | karma? thousands of children were sucked right out of their mothers arms and thousands of babies and children are orphaned. i dunno but that sounds like harsh karma. it shoulda happened to the people in bangkok who supported the sex trade industry and they didn't even get hit. |
