| Does anyone know what happened East of downtown this afternoon around 4pm?
From my balcony I could see a pretty big plume of black smoke, like an explosion, rising up east of La Cite complex. Hope nobody's hurt. |

| Two people die when small plane crashes northeast of Montreal
Canadian Press
Monday, October 11, 2004
ST-ROCH-DE-L'ACHIGAN, Que. (CP) -- Two people were killed on Monday when a small propeller aircraft caught fire and plunged from the sky in this town northeast of Montreal.
The plane went down in the morning, landing just metres from a home near a regional airport, said all-news channel LCN. The channel said two men died on impact.
Eyewitnesses said the plane was on fire and appeared to be having engine problems prior to the crash, added LCN.
St-Roch-de-l'Achigan is about 40 kilometres northeast of Montreal. |

| I don't know if that's it, cuz the smoke appeared around 4pm...later than the plane crash, but that is a weird coincidence. |
