Started off hardcore, then trance, then acid, then goa and now psytrance. Still love and listen to all thoses styles although I haven't listenned to much jungle. I must say, however, I went to this party called Electronik High (the first one) held at a loft in St-Henri and stayed in the DnB/Jungle room for awhile. Couldn't stop dancing. Got any suggestions of good jungle to listen to? |

I don't find the appeal of going to a party where it's the same 100 people all the time, thats why I like going to a weird loft party or something where you know nobody...
I liked parties where it was like 1000 people in a room and I only knew 5 |

You just can't beat huge moving light rigs and the towers of speakers but once in awhile smaller parties are a nice break from those huge anonymous pools of party goers. And as for the so called group drama... consider ditching the instigators of shit from the group. |

do you test your mdma with a chem set to figure out the purity?
if you started partying in 1997, how would you even know what pure mdma feels like? i don't mean to be antagonistic, but it's a pretty well known fact what happened to mdma production adter 1989. |

Well known fact? No, so sure what you mean. What did happen to mdma production after 1989?
There never was a commercial production of mdma since the Merck pharmaceutical company filed for a patent in 1912. Only underground usage of the substance was conducted by the army, some therapists and few niches of people wanting to try something new. I base what I say upon experiences I read from many users on such sites as [ erowid.org ] and Alexander and Ann Shulgin book's Pihkal. I've took my fare share of mdma to know that alot of what is called "mdma" today ain't nowhere near what it used to be and is mostly cut with other substances. If by purity you mean that the chemical reaction to produce the synthesized molecule 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine gave a rendering of 100% then no I have never done such pure mdma. Such purity is hard to achieve, specially in an underground lab. But the other hand, I have done uncut mdma that probably wasn't 100% pure but was still mdma. So based on my experiences and those of others I've read and heard of, I'm pretty confident of what I took to now that is was mdma. |

You know whats funny, all that talk about how great the small parties are...well I have to agree with Mekkadom. The big parties are awesome too. Sometimes its nice to go to a party and just be anonymous. It ISN'T about socializing at all, so the drama's left behind. AND there is nothing more exhillerating than dancing to the same beat at the same time as 10 000 + people!! |

I'm sorry, but MDMA was legally produced and available for purchase in the US until about 1985 when it became a controlled substance, and was regularly used in therapy sessions. This "underground" usage of which you speak was unecessary as you could buy it over the counter in states like Texas, and it was commonplace. The websites you are referring to are not correct. Taking a drug is in no way going to tell you how pure it is, since you have no purity baseline to associate yourself to. |
